Love the interior. Especially the F40-esque door 'handles'. :D
This may be a naive question but, why is the 360 Challenge a left hand drive? Are all 'challenge' models like that?
well work by the oompalahs has begun, note the wheel clamp, no key so easy start, at least it will prevent some doofus from trying to nick it, and u have to adore that interior, it is just so spartan that it becomes sexy Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
yep just been raised 3/4 inch to an inch, can fit clamp on, passenger seat goes in Monday, extinguishers in, war paint goes on tuesday, and who designed those ugly classic adelaide decals, atrocious.... and falkens now on
The decals organisers/sponsors supply have always been a pet hate of mine. Too often they spoil a nice car. Did you get the Azenis or other Falkens? The rear tyres as seen on the truck looked alright, why are you changing them? How are you raising it, spacers or different springs?
no the rears are wet tyres, they would melt in the dry. and with 42 different springs, all we did was screw up the shocks on the car and bingo, all is sweet
Fuggen nice car - congratulations! It looks really really good! Have a great time at classic adelaide!! Goober - nice garage!
2 x .9 kg 1 for the driver to access 1 for the navigator to access have them mounted in front of the seats on the floor, cant get in the way then and seat belt shears as well, velcro to the console
Congratulations on the new toy mate, well done. I don't know if it was by luck or good design (suspect the latter); but you bought one of the ONLY 2 360 C's that I would buy without a worry or a second thought. The car has done a bit of work; but much less than most and it has always had the bucks put into the maintenance. To be honest I am not sure how it will go in a Tarmac rally as they ride pretty hard and have SFA clearance. The clutch would be a ***** in traffic transport stages too, plus no ventilation, big noise etc. If you have time once the boys have finished, chuck the trade plate on and take it for a lengthy test run on the road. I am sure any shortcomings will quickly come to light.
A cool $10k, thanks very much if my memory hasn't faded. They were a local development and there was a lot involved.
Congratulations on the car! It looks fantastic.. and in great condition too! Can you fill it up from a normal pump? It doesnt have those 2 hole-types, so I gather you dont need one of those refulling rigs regarding CA and extinguishers: We were told 1 extinguisher is required this year, next year 2 will be mandatory.. .and they recommend 2. This is for Classic Tour though.
correct, but thoroughbred, which MHH and Goober are in require two and the seatbelt shears. all available from Mark at Autosport on Magil road.
well yep it was a punt but when i read the digest about what has been spent on the thing, there was no way i could say no. once the pax seat goes in on monday we will take it up the south eastern freeway (gently) and yep the tranny would be a ***** in traffic but no different to a QP or M3 in auto mode. BTW scott, does the auto mode work in the 360C?
let me know when you head up the freeway. i'll follow in the cabriolet and take in that wonderful sound.
Actually a 360CH F1 system is a world away from that in the road cars. Remember it has a race clutch ! You will find it grabs and snatches at low revs and is verging on impossible to idle along smoothly at low speed. I believe the auto mode still works in the Challenge version as I seem to recall the gentleman racers being advised to leave it in auto in the wet. At our recent Calder day a newbie 360C owner put it into the wall in the wet. When he changed gears coming on to the main straight, it banged up the box, upset the rear wheels and spat him off the track.
