I am considering buying a Brietling Emergency. Actually, I am wearing it right now-test drive. How do you set the time on the darn thing? I am afraid to start unscrewing things. How much are they worth in perfect condition.blue fae, titanium?

It's a great watch......... I own a titanium and an 18k yg ver.

DO NOT UNSCREW THE ANTENNA CAPS ON THE UPPER LEFT & LOWER RIGHT LOOKING AT THE FACE.

The crown is on the right side near the 3.

Spin the crown until it displays local time
Pull the crown out: The hour and min. digits flash on and off

Set the watch by rotating the crown
rapid rotation moves the hands forward or back by a full hour while slow rotation moves by one minute.

When the time is correct push the crown back against the case.

How come in the pictures above (RufMD), one image shows a "F40" in the lower center dial, and one does not?

    Dan,
I AM IMPRESSED you noticed that!

GP used the shield on the dial in the last batch of that F40 watch. If my sources are partially correct, I would say RufMd's watch is numbered below 250.
I can't confirm why or at what number they started it. If I were to guess they split it down the middle. But I don't know for sure, I do know I will get to the bottom of this :D

If anyone knows, please speak up

1984/5 Cartier Ferrari Watch - This solid 18K automatic gold & stainless watch was made on behalf of Enzo Ferrari. Enzo commissioned Cartier to make 250 of these, and gave them out to elite friends like Clay Regazzoni and Rene Arnoux. One was even redesigned and given to the Pope! None were sold commercially. We have one near mint example available with box. You cannot buy these anywhere, and they have not been around since the 1980s.

I've just got one a few weeks ago, but with full metal/wood (I think its fake wood though) bracelet. Not the level you see most the time on this thread, but I like it (and so seem my friends - always intrigued by the mechanism). Quite heavy though.

There was one of these on Ebay selling for under $1000. It was really beat up and needed restoration. Pitty that I thought nothing of it at the time...

Just picked up this Omega Speedmaster - Michael Schumacher edition. The red face and leather are the only "branding" to indicate the Ferrari tie-in.

Wow! That Zenith is impressive; does the "turbine wheel" sweep with the seconds? The detail on the dial is incredible.

    It is the 2nd hand...
Absolutely gorgeous piece. And it's no too big either.
I thought is was going to be oversized, but it's not
