agreed, but they get more $$$ for that than for the classic tour hence regularity is in and classic tour out for noosa
I do like the fact that they don't let moderns compete seriously though. I keeps the event somewhat true to its original charter of being for "classic" sports cars. The rest of us are just hangers on (and loving it).
yeah, look forward to meeting some of you if I come... I met scud at QLR.... thought he was delivering pizza..
you just added some speed... we ALL know rental cars are faster than normal cars... That car (my baby) is not called Christy... she'll get confused. Her name is ................ i'll tell ya if I see ya in Adelaide...
but we dont know what to look for...........never seen a fixer b4 hahaha and after the drive toady thru the city on trade plates.........well it was great, just like the QP without trim, bit harsher on the tranny at take off but 50-60 kph in say 4th or 5th was easy, i dropped it to 2nd and let it rip down west tce and i think the virgin airlines overhead did a barrel roll with the noise. all in all i cant wait til friday..................and on another point these so called tensioner bearings are like 500+ each WTF, they look very much like SKF magna TF and TJ tensioner bearings, my oompalahas have sent both old and magna bearing to amdel then southcotts to get micro measured to see if there is a difference. and the price 1 x magna bearing $30.00 like all it does is tension not that i have to tell you what they do but this "under licence "crap, remember Henry Ford "i'll give all my cars away for free so long as you buy your spare parts off me" and i didnt name her..................someone else who signed the forms as well had her say!
thats half the problem, if they are then we can say in one foul swoop that we have saved mitsubishi from leaving the country.........they can supply world wide all 360 tensioner bearings
Just dont tell the purists. It wil devalue their Ferrari if the part is non-genuine or the part will fail because it is not a genuine Ferrari part. Even though its the same part, from the same factory. One is in an SKF box and the other is in a Ferrari box. Anyone with half a brain knows better.
my point is this lets say they made 10000 360's at 2 bearings each thats 20000, are we to believe that SKF had made 20000 of one bearing plus spares for ferrari where mitsubishi would have made 500,000.......i just dont get it............someone please do the maths for me
