I had the same hopeful thought cross my mind when I heard the news.

 

This is funny. I actually had MORE people show up at Webster Hall to see me than K-Fed did.

But he got to boing Britney and drive a Ferrari. Life is so completely unfair!!

K-Fed’s New York City gig at Webster Hall wasn’t cancelled as some predicted — but it reportedly took some big-time begging on his part.

“They were going to cancel this concert, but he begged them to keep it on,” a Webster Hall bartender told Star. “He had to fight with them to keep this concert.” Only 300 people showed up at the club that holds 1,500.

K-Fed was scheduled to go on at 7 pm, but the crowd was so sparse that the aspiring rapper waited for three hours in hopes that more fans would appear.

“He was holding things up because there weren’t enough fans,” the bartender told the tab. “It was a bad idea — he shouldn’t have neglected the fans who were there.”

Federline’s performance has been described as “mercifully short.” Britney Spears’s hubby only rapped for about half an hour and, reports one eyewitness, “seemed really confused about how to act on stage. He would pace from one side of the stage to the other, just saying things like, ‘Hey’ thirty times in a row or ‘New York, thank you for coming — buy my CD.’ ”

He went through a short-lived dream, now what? NOTHING.

 

I actually had a chance to meet her back in '00 or '01 (whenever the Superbowl was in Tampa last) but couldn't because I was too lazy to make the hour long drive. This was when she was dating Timberlake. She had a party at a club in Ybor that weekend and I was asked by the owner if I wanted to hang out with them. She was a pretty new teen star back then and I remember thinking "who cares?"

Now, if I had known homegirl was gonna end up rolling like that, I would have at least made the attempt. LOL. At least it makes for a funny story now.

 

Somehow I can't shed a tear for those kids, something about living in the Lap of Luxury does that to me.

True he might be out of the spotlight, but man, I would take the money

 

And with the mere mention of the sacred words "HORSEFLY", he reappears like a genie from a bottle after months of self imposed exile.

A friend of mine was on vacation in Maui back in February during the same week that Britney and fodderhead were in Maui. Perhaps my people should have talked to her people. She looked great on Letterman last night.

i just heard about it on the radio coming from school, aparently Spears has a very good pre-nup in place, but he'll still get a good amount of money, half of the malibu mansion, and about 30k a month (not sure for what length)
