Hopefully they don't screw it up. Something with a nice physics engine similar to Gran Turismo would be really nice, but I have a feeling it will be an arcade type to appeal to a broader audience, i.e. kids. Sigh. Keeping my fingers crossed anyway. :)

This is AWESOME! 10tacle is the the outlet for SimBin, who's done the work for GTR, GT Legends and now, GTR 2. If you've had an opportunity to drive a 360 GT (not a Challenge car) or the 550 or 575 GTC in GTR or driven the MC12 in GTR 2, then there are NO worries! The physics engine is the gMotor 2.0, which is the only PC framework that is even remotely close to the finely honed GT4 engine. While it's great that Microsoft Studios and Bizarre have a license from Ferrari for the cars to appear in Forza and Project Gotham Racing, especially with all the eye candy the XBox 360 can give, the console games are nothing compared to the latest from 10tacle in the form of GTR 2.

-Peter (still play F355 Challenge on my old Dreamcast, too <grin>)

GTR is a great game. I think it would be really cool if the did it like Porsche unleashed was done; but with better physics and a graphics engine. I'll be looking forward to seeing some pics from the game in a year or so...

Great news! This has got to be the best PC game for the whole decade!!! Hopefully, they won't make it like the NFS series nowadays which are all arcade style and drifting like there's no tomorrow.

Interesting. Cant wait for this one and if its made by the same people who make GTR, then it should be great.

Outrun is primarily a Ferrari game too, but this game should be amazing. I will be sure to buy this game once it comes out. Whats wrong with NFS too, its a great racing series, but the last good one was Hot Pursuit 2 where they only had 3 Ferraris. Hopefully this game will have 20+ and maybe even the P4/5, FXX, and F1 cars.

If I had back all of the quarters I dumped into Outrun, I could buy a Ferrari right now. :)

    Hah! So true!

Seriously, the development work for SimBin's stuff comes primarily from a London firm called Blimey! Games. It is Blimey! that has secured the license, insuring that SimBin and the producer 10tacle will release the games. Development cycles are far shorter than they used to be (heck, I remember when Geoff Crammond spent years between every Grand Prix release) so I would expect to see it in 18-24 months.
