that is indeed sad, but its been going on much longer than a couple of years at Thug U.

Just for the record, it's University of Miami. Miami University is in Ohio.

You're a jerk. Have a heart, Pata was a good guy. I can't believe you think he deserved to die for going to a college that had a bad reputation 15 years ago. I'm an alum, and this is the first I read about this.

you can call miami "thug u" if you want but that doesnt mean a 22 year old kid needs to be shot and killed. and frankly, what does that have to do with anything? I have watched Pata in the Orange bowl for the past several years and he always made a great effort and from what I have read was a soft spoken leader both on and off the field. I would not want any player to get hurt (let alone killed) while they are working so hard to try and make a career in Football or any other sport. And to call this tragedy swift justice is totally moronic.
While it is true that our program is having an unusually difficult season on the field (winning percentage wise), I am pretty confident that the University of Miami will find its way back to the top. Everyone was calling the program dead nine years ago (1997) when we had a bad season. Five years later they are being called one of the greatest teams ever (2002). I know the majority of fans are against UM, and I think the players at UM are okay with that. But have a heart and don't make stupid remarks if you can help it.

I have to apologize for my statement above. I just saw a story about him on TV and I was very wrong in my assessment of the guy. He was not one of the thugs involved in the brawl against FIU.

Jerseydriver your comments to me and about me were as bad as the one I made about Pata. I have apologized for what I said. Now it is your turn to apologize to me. If you don't you are no better than all the crap you were throwing at me.

 

you have to remember that i am very close with the miami football team and anything negative is going to trigger me to defend, you can understand that right?

i told you how i felt and i didnt unload on you the way i would normally but over the computer it is just stupid. now i do feel that you are sincere about realizing you were wrong and you did standup like a man and took it. i accept your apology.
