I've had 170 mph (indicated speed) on my 348 Spider with top up. Bear in mind it's a UK/Euro car. I felt it would go faster but I lifted off.

WHAT?! And I chickened out at 120! Dude, did you bother to read your owner's manual? Remember the part about top up operation? It says 105 max top up speed. God love ya for pushing the envelop. Yours are bigger than mine, dude. LOL
No, it is not such a big deal. The chance of getting caugth is low. Up to 50 km/h to fast you can get a ticket. Above that they take your licence for a week. But we live close to the german border, the rest you know... no speedlimit! Speeding is the USA is like a real crime, unbelievable...
I've had my 348 up to 110 on the freeway.............................that's 110 km/hr. At that speed it's like a racehorse wanting to be let loose with the reins.
You are not wrong there. I took my 348 up to 160km/h-180km/h last week, in 4th and it felt good. I also felt it would easily pull like a frieght train up to 250km/h and beyond.
You realise you won't be able to do those speeds on the Gold Coast highways when you become a resident or you will be placed in the slammer !!!
I know. Dont worry, they will lock me up here too if they catch me. When I do those speeds, it is on a really quiet stretch of road near the Golf Course. Really quiet on weekdays. Thats when I let some agression out and have a fun spirited drive in the Italian Stallion 348.

LOL, you are kidding about the owners manual saying 120 right? I read the manual when I got the car and never saw anything like that. Impossible to believe In fact at the point of doing that speed I went past a bunch of other F-cars which were doing about 100mph at the time. My car was rock steady stable at 170mph.
Wait a minute....The "owners manual" has a limit to the top speed with the top up on a spider?????? Deduction would say, haul @ss with the top down then??
yeh its terrible I have driven from san diego to seattle 20 hours and there are miles of open roads no farms no traffic just desert that should be free of limits. This inalienable right i had no say in just have to observe it or don't get caught.lol
I chickened out at 255 kph, but it was still pulling strong. No doubt about the 275 manufacturer's claim. Shortly afterwards I installed the Valentine. Can't rely on eyesight & dumb luck forever. Best investment ever. But a stationary laser trap can still get ya.
I dont know. I cant find them again either. I never saved them too. But im sure they were on here at 300km/h?? Maybe it was a magazine I saw the pics in?? I dont remember sorry.
Land of the Free and unfortunately the slow . I think a big reason for speed limits, is our general population drivers here have very little if any discipline to responsibly administrate themselves in a "no speed limit" world.
Yep, I was really disappointed about that top-up speed limit. I had nightmares of it ripping off and twisting into a hi-tech Italian metal sculpture riding on my deck lid like some fat debutant in a Main Street parade. After reading these posts, I'm thinking that maybe the Ferrari lawyers were having fun at my expense. And yeah, I really pushed it hard with the top down, but at my height I had to hunder down out of the windstream.
