Someone replied to one of my posts on another car forum with the following:

"you dont want a f355 or an f360, i had some significant seat time in a 360 challenge stradale the other week at summit point and it was less than exciting. email me if you want more details."

A load of BS in my opinion. What do you guys think?

i think you want a dodge neon srt4 next ...unless that guy drives F1 cars all day, I wouldn't take his word for it. Then again, just knowing you're tracking a 360cs is fun in itself.

See if you say that after tracking a GT3.

Ferraris on the track are loads of fun... but again, just as in street racing, it's not about speed or pure performance. The CS is a great car to track. It's a total blast. Light. Agile. Responsive. Fun. I love tracking F-cars. Nothing quite like it.

It's just not overly competetive. If I were putting together a car or team to win an event... I'd go Porsche or Corvette if I were doing street cars. SuperCup. GT3RSR. C6R. 430s are not doing too well against similarly classed Porsches or Corvettes.

    Whatever that means. :)

Ahem..The F430 won the FIA GT class :) and the SPA 24h ..No too shabby.

I think the CS and the 996 GT3 and GT3 RS are pretty even for track days.

And as for the original question, i tracked the CS and it was a blast. The brakes worked fantasticly well, the gearbox was amazing, esp when downshifting. And the handling was very safe and confidence inspiring for a newbie like me, esp considering the track (Fiorano) was wetish and cold.

It would be interesting to know what kind of car the person who posted that usually drives on the track.

None of those cars presents anywhere near the challenge that tracking a late 60's- early 70's 'Merican station wagon does. "Challenge car," hah.
