Saw a boxer yesterday in St Ives.. same spot as I saw a Testarossa a couple of months ago... these cars certainly stand out amongst the traffic.

 

Boxer and Testarossa's kick ass!! One day, I caught(saw) my brother driving my 348 down the main street. It looked awesome! I never see it on the road, because im always driving it. It looked like a small little red toy car. It was small beside the Toyota L/C wagon and the Commonwhore he was driving next to.

 

it's 10am Monday morning.. just recovering from 3 yr old birthday party etc...

waited for rain to stop too...

now, which car to take to work today....?

tried that... wouldn't start after the rain, and Dougie Daihatsu got a water leak... so BB only car that goes!

I saw a fast jap bike with a pair of dog like testicles hanging off it, casually swinging at the traffic lights, the other day...

As we were waliking into Billy Joel concert last night spotted a nice light blue Daytona driving past the Lexus Centre/Olympic Park

Last FCA run I did, I watched a guy in a 355 (much spotted here) overtake on double lines on a crest. This is what he had to do to keep up with a 246 that was making a good pace, amongst occasional slower traffic, without doing anything silly.

I think it was Gerhard Berger who said "just because you own a Ferrari, doesn't mean you know how to drive one".

 

at the end of the day, on the road, they're all far too fast...even a dino...and if you're driving along quickly, it's quick, no matter which car.

 

and doing something stupid in a Ferrari will kill you just as surely it will in any other car ... but stupidity is in the mind of the beholder, Kerrari said I was driving fast on our last trackday on the way to Warwick when I passed 4 or 6 cars in one swoop just before an 80 zone but to me I was just clearing slow traffic in a safe fashion (I had my boy on board) , broken lines and plenty of distance to achieve the overtaking move, even got back on the right side of the road and had slowed to 80 just after the 80 sign so no big deal really but she saw it as me taking a chance.

I never take chances on the road no matter what car I'm driving, you have to be prepared for the unexpected and that the other driver is a complete idiot, this doesn't mean that driving at 80 in a 100 zone makes you safe or that driving at 120 in a 100 zone makes you dangerous, it's how you are doing both of those speeds that make it either safe or dangerous.

I'm terrified in my wife's car and she drives very slow but tries to speed up to my types of speeds because she thinks that is why I'm nervous but the reality is that poor drivers are scary at ANY speed.

 

don't forget that Kerrari's a chick.

 

i'm better as pax in my gf's car now, i've got her out of the standard practice of habitual tailgating. she's very good with the reflexes, but i see no reason to be 3 metres behind the car in front, when it's likely the car behind will do the same.

problem is she hates driving, finds it boring, so thinks speeding up to the nearest car in front and getting impatient will help or something. if she was driving a decent car (not the hoondie) she might be more mellowed about just enjoying the drive.

generally, the more fun a car is capable of, the happier i am to go slow in it.

i've been on a few runs through the Adelaide hills with Phil Moore driving his 330 and he is more than capable of punting that thing along nicely.

yep, and a nice guy. lives around the corner from me. last saw him in his DB4 and he's driving with Phil S from Melb in a 356 cabriolet in Classic Adelaide this week.
