    I've decided that it's time to begin my search for a F40 (US spec car.) If anyone can steer me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it.

    About a week ago there was a thread about the second most perfect car still being for sale in New York or something similar

    There are numerous threads about what to look for and what not to look for - try search on 'f40 buying' in superferraris

    FML. Would also check in w/Mike Sheehan, Ferrari techs who service/maintain F40's, and local Ferrari clubs - let them know what you're looking for. Would also drop in on shows/events where F40's are present. Let current owners know you're interested if/when they decide to bail. The nicer cars often aren't on the market long, if at all.

    Try Andy Cohen at Beverly Hills Classic Cars, a sponsor on this site. I have bought two F40's from him in the past couple of years. He seems to have a knack for finding good ones.

    Try "Ingenere" (Dino) on f-chat!!!!

    I pinged him a few weeks ago on my finding an F40 and he had 4+ in his hip pocket over 2 weeks! He had access to F40s my dealer never heard about (until after the fact). Very cool.
