Just get a bodyshop to weld up in the gap in the door now, and then weld the other side too. Then you can climb in and out like the Dukes Of Hazzard boys! :p:p

I've had this happen on my 348. Two questions:

    1) Is there normal resistance on the inner release handle and on the outer push button when you try to open the door, or are they flopping around like the internal mechanism is not connected?

    2) Are your power locks cycling by themselves, so that the lock button is moving up and down when you aren't trying to unlock the door?

Sometimes, you can get the door to open just by pushing in on it with your knee as you hold in the release button on the outer latch.

Can you remove (or loosen it enough to reach inside) the 348 cheesegrater outside panel with the door closed (maybe remove the front left wheel and inner liner to reach the side screws??)?

Can you remove the interior leather door panel?

If you can get either panel off then you can unlatch the door by hand.

Or possibly slip a coathanger into the window gap to grab the pull cable??

Otherwise I guess you remove the left rear wheel and fender liner and pop out the latch from behind/side.

Thanks for the help-it worked. During my investigation, I discovered that Ferrari doors are equipped with a mechanism called a "lock". This diabolical invention-no doubt invented by a Frenchman-disables both opening mechanisms, thereby preventing not only ingress, but egress as well. The mechanism is enabled in two ways, both of which can be activated inadvertently by an operator or passenger. D*** the French!
