We used to have a 1999 Green honda civic EX, and it was my dad's daily driver. I came home today and i didnt see the "green machine" in the drive way,we have a toyota tacome and toyota Highlander Limited in our garage, and to my suprise, there was a 2007 Honda Civic SI!!! It may not seem like much to some of you but to me it is incredible! This may be no Ferrari, Porsche or Lamorghini, but to me its good enough! Ill try to get pics later, as its dark now.

Those are fantastic cars and anyone who dismisses it because its a honda or 'cheap' is just being an elitist snob.

My next door neighbor has one and I like it almost as much as my E55.

sounds preety sweet too! not a ferrari but still!

And were not "poor" we are actually pretty wealthy, but a ferrari for us is unpractical, so to me a si is a damn nice.

because its an exceptionally well built car with progressive styling. Doesnt look like everything else on the road...great ergonomics..great power... great car for the price.

Therefore the only reason to snub it would be because its not 'expensive'. I have a 355 spider and an E55 yet I can appreciate this car. Honda did a great job on it.

If someone can criticize it intelligently then great..but calling it 'cheap' or 'rice' is immature.

Edit: Growing up I had a Honda CRX Si and I had just as much fun in that car as my viper/355/M3

Congrats, getting a new car is always fun. I drove the Acura TL recently, it looks like that Civic so maybe it's the Honda equivalent. They are really nice cars

Yep, Honda did a nice job on the new Civics. I've had 3 of 'em in the past and they're the class act in their segment.

    Congrats.

    Congrats.

I've never been a big honda guy, but I've already contemplated one for my car after my next car.

The Civic is a fantastic little car, loads of fun, and the quality blows my mini into the weeds.

I love the Si's, they are a blast to drive. My only gripe is the 2 level guage cluster, which I dont care for, but thats minor.

i think we should stop calling all these cars "rice/ricer" or whatever. sounds derogatory to me.

I don't criticise it. Probably a great car; I don't really want to know.

I "dismiss" it as a choice for me like anything else coming from the Far East.

    Call it 'political' reasons...
