Their website has no contact address for them - only a phone # and email address. The 'Testimonials' page seems to be down. Their inventory couldn't seem any fishier - wouldn't suprise me if they listed a used Space Shuttle for sale (only 6,000,000 miles - a cream puff!)...

    Hello,
I am the Owner of MDM. We are a brokerage firm that finds many rare vehicles, importing some though our company.

We do not have all of these vehicles in stock. We have many companies and owners from all over the world contact us to sell their vehicles. I understand how people would think that we would not be legit, but if you read any description about the vehicles, NO money is to be collected prioror to sale. The client is to fly out to the vehicle to see in person.

Our goal is to offer as many of the rarest vehicles out there. We simply spend our time tracking just that, rare cars. So please do not get mistaken about us having them in stock. As most Brokers dont.
Upon all sales, contracts will be signed so none of our clients are uncomfortable about the sale.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
    Thank you,
    Mr. Taylor

Just what the world needed - another broker marking up prices by 15% to 20% over market for cars they simply "represent" but don't really have access to in the real world. These kind of outfits make Exotic Cars of Caesar's Palace look legit.
Enzos "starting" at $1,300,000. What world are these guys living in?

At least their F40 seems to be somewhere in the market range, but I guess it depends on the car.

IMHO any sales outfit that goes out of their way to disguise their location - no address on their web site, only a toll-free number - cannot possibly be trustworthy.

Why don't you make yourself more transparent Mr. Taylor?
Why would you expect a client to give you his contact details when you won't do the same?

I guess they will get business from those elements where having legitimacy isn't a real concern.

On the contrary, legitimacy is one of our primary concerns. I understand that the website itself is in the early stages, and may not be currently projecting the best image, but as I mentioned before, it is under construction. As for the prices, keep in mind that they are negotiable. Some people are happy with these listed prices.

The nature of our business is to offer vehicles to the public that they would not normally have the opportunity to purchase. That said, our chosen platform is Internet sales, as we feel we can reach the greatest number of potential customers in this manner.

We do not merely "represent" these vehicles, but we are the vital connection between the seller and the buyer.Or the company we are working with. As mentioned previously, airtight contracts will be furnished to ensure all transactions run smoothly and according to the buyer's demands.

Our company has many representatives all over the United States, as well as other countries, and our only goal is provide these vehicles for the people who want them.

Prospective customers with questions may feel free to contact us through email or telephone, and we will be more than obliged to provide more information. In this day and age, with the exotic market being saturated by illegitimate and fraudulent businesses, we understand many people's concerns over the legitimacy of our own business, and we will do everything in our power to reassure you that we are, in fact, genuine.

Please remember that the website is still under construction, and to contact us with any and all questions.

Also, please note that our personal address WILL be released to all serious clients in order to complete business transactions.

    Thank you,
    Mr. Ben D. Taylor

Both of the red FFX's are #1 of 30? I will never be able to afford one but 3.2 to 3.5??? Is that really how much they sell for? And 1.45 for an Enzo? I guess I should play the lottery more often.

No, 1 of 29/30 made by Ferrari. As for the 1.45 Mil Enzo, we all know that black on black is a rare find. It is also celeb owned. Price is neg.

    Thank you.

WOW! Is the blk/blk Enzo the one previously owned by Pharrell? That means Carbon would go nuts! LOL...$12-1.3MM for blk Enzo's reasonable prices. The red ones can be had for $1MM or even less.

All Enzo owners are celebs in my book.

There have been 31 FXXs made, and as far as I know, none are for sale, though perhaps Manuma could chime in on this one. The website is down too.

Just for a slightly different perspective: As I was searching over the past year for an F40, I absolutely would have loved to work with a broker, or anyone for that matter, who had a lead on an F40.

I exhausted all the dealers, and every broker I came across. I tracked every car for sale by VIN because many different people often “represented” the same car.

The real trick was to find the person, or company, who had a car for sale that I didn’t already know about (or that wasn’t sold). If that means pinging a new broker with a new web site, no problem!

Of course, about 60% of the people I ran across weren’t legit. I got real good at knowing how to protect myself and yet move fast on the right car.

The interesting thing I learned is that many F40 owners, when it comes time to sell their car, may call up someone they know. That could be the dealer they buy from, or a friend across the street who has contacts on f-chat! Thus, I treated everyone as viable until I weeded them out.

Anyway, just my 2 cents. :)

    Tim

There are 3 for sale in Europe. We have them up for sale for a reason.
Thanks for your input Tim : )

In my opinion, brokers are sometimes the way to go. We are constantly finding new leads and following up on sales. Where as a dealer would have a lot full of cars to fall back on, we have no choice but to find what the client needs. Serious brokers dig deep for leads, sometimes finding out more than "well connected" people and dealers. I have learned that a lot of dealers look forward for brokers to help them find unique vehicles.

You have 3 FXX's for sale? I there is a waiting list at Ferrari where all FXX owners have to sell their cars too. I doubt Ferrari would allow some broker to have 10% of the FXXs.

Ferrari has the say or does the owner who purchased a 7 figure car along with many other high end cars have the say. AS mentioned. Client is to fly out to see vehicle in person, NO money down, sent to me or requested. Money is paid when client sees the vehicle and is reintroduced to Ferrari Italy as the new owner and has new privileges to attend all demos held by Ferrari.

I don't know what you think I would gain by lying about a vehicle and having no money down for the vehicle. Now I could see where you are coming from if we were asking for a bunch of money down.

My point would be that it sounds ridiculous and is one letter apart from the word "erotic." There were a plethora of more likely options if you wanted to make up a word, especially for the title of a supposedly legitimate business enterprise. This sounds like an escort service that rents highline cars.

In regards to your "note" ... if you are in any way insinuating a smoke and mirrors car dealership is the next Pepsi, Nextel, T-Mobile, or Ferrari...you have a few screws loose.

I have to give some credit to MDM for coming into F-Chat to play with the sharks.

none the less, it's a joke. He'll be long gone in months.

Let's see him post up some VIN or S/N

Has MDM ever sold an ENZO or FXX ? Well ? Have ya?

Pintos, Vettes, and Camaros don't count dude

Has MDM sold any exotic cars at all? From the sounds of his posts this is a young, possibly well intentioned kid who had the bright idea that he could become a middleman and make some money. He claims to have excellent worldwide connections and in one his posts claimed hundreds of employees around the world seeking the cars out. How does one fund such a vast operation, and yet have no history. The testimonials page doesn't work yet because, I guess they (he?) are waiting for their first sale.
The lack of a real address probably means that Mr. Taylor is sitting on his bed in his parents' home working on the website after school. The BS that he will provide his real contact details to serious buyers is the most inane thing I have come across in quite a while.
The high end exotic car community that Mr Taylor says he operates in is reality a very small world, where most of the players are acquainted not by six degrees of separation, but most likely by one. A very hard world to break into if you have no credentials and even harder when you pretend to have direct access to 6 Enzos and 3 FXX's.
You get but one chance to make a first impression and having to apologize that your website doesn't work when you are trying to convince people that you are the best is rather lame. Pathetic is probably a better word for this situation.
I wish him luck but I really doubt his credentials from the look of his website and even more from the posts he has made here.

Mr.Ben Taylor is no Marcel, that's forsure.

And I highly doubt that Mr. Taylor even lives in Green Bay, WI or even the County in which it lies in, which is Brown County. I decided to do some F-chat investigation. I searched for any property owner in that county under his name and zipcode that he provided, and no results. I'd imagine someone handling many transactions of that value would own a house, rather than lease.

This is no fun, atleast Dan Ciesnewski lived where he said he did

    ...in his parents house.
