I've been offered this DVD at a discount to all us Fchatters.

It looks excellent. I ordered a copy to get a real good look, but the preview is awesome. The price we're being offered is about 10% off the regular price, JUST IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS.

    Here's a link to the preview. Click H E R E !!

Take a look, order a couple, one for you, and one for the Formula 1 fanatic who lives next door.

That preview is awsome however the quality of the DVD is nothing like it. I got the DVD when it first came out and it excited as can be and was generally disappointed. There are not many laps shown, some are incomplete, and the general layout of the disk is poor. Definatly worth it for $9.99 on a discount rack but at full pop it is a wase of money. Just my 2 lira. I do however thank you for the effort to get us a deal.

Thanks for the input. I'll let you know what I think of it when I see the disk.

If it's good, I'll say so, if it stinks, I'll tell you all that too.

I have too, it's ok, but not worth full price. The on board with Fangio is great but it wasn't what i expected.

    Just finished watching my copy.

It was everything I expected. Some great video, some good, not a bad scene in it and some very interesting narration by some of the greatest who ever raced.

some of the 50 year old films are great. I do wish the modern stuff was from film, not the video feed from the race coverage. Oh well, nothing's perfect.:D

Here are a few photo clips.

I have it too and like it a lot. Laps of the Gods is better, but then again I'm a junkie for any F1 clip I don't have yet in my collection. Particularly when it is old.

Lap of the Gods is the supreme on-board video, but like Andreas said, I love 'em all.

For what it's worth, your top right picture is Patrick Depailler driving the Tyrrell around Long Beach. It's on LOTG as well, and it's one of the best segments. He blasts right out of the pit exit and goes 10/10 for three awesome laps.

    I second that opinion.

I have both DVD's. Lap of the Gods is definetely the better investment.

50 years..F1 . is not as good as it COULD've been!
