Maybe my LP400 takes a flight from Dubai for a brief visit. Hmmm.... this could be serious fun. Image Unavailable, Please Login
No doubt the 25th A. was the best one from the complete series. But it looked u believable ugly. Like Dolly Parton on Testosteron!!! No 25th A. will ever fetch the demand and the aura of the early LP 400! I assume, you are wrong: today most admirers of the Countach laugh about the 25th!! Bet on that! Ciao! Walter
Valentino Balboni will be working on it with the powers that be, and he should rightfully be behind the wheel of number one. The factory shipped the very last Countach (Museo's silver Annivesario) over for the last Reunion in 2001, so I dont see why not... oh heck, whilst theyre at it, they should just go ahead and send over BOTH the first and last Countachs Joe
John, We would LOVE to see your car at the Reunion, Dubai plate and all...you might win furthest travelled, although watch out for the likes of Kadoorie who shipped his Miura all the way from Hong Kong for my 2000 Miura Reunion (actually he flew it by FEDEX!) However, now youve upset Walter, referring to your car as an LP400, and Im sure Walter will have to endure months of therapy to get over this one. I shoulda warned you about these Countach guys, they take their specifications and designations VERY seriously! Seriously though, there has been interest from all over the world, so my fears that just 3 Countach will show might be unfounded... Joe PS - Walter, are you doing OK? Just breath deeply, take your medication and stay calm. He didnt mean to leave off the "S" on the LP400S designation of his car. Just a typo...
Hehe.....yup, it would be great fun. But its a long time to go, so I can make desicions only later. Back to my medication.......... Ciao! Walter
probably you forgot that 25th came off in 88-89 in the top of sports and classic cars speculation era: ferrari was selling a lot of 348 and some people made serious money selling 348 reservations!! (348 is notoriously the best V8 ever from Maranello...) lambo was late developing the diablo and 25th was the way to sell lot of cars without effort profitating the boom if they would had made a countach with 3 wings,10 inches sideskirts, 12 red exaust, frigobar and TV they would had sold hundreds of them anyway: i am not sayng the 25th sucks, but the fact it sold more than other models must be seen in that era you could sell anything with a lambo or ferrari badge those years
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We all can express our personal idea of beauty. I happen to think that the Anniversary car is BEAUTIFUL and I am sure others do also as they continue to do well on the current market.
Sorry, an LP400S1. With new oil lines, hopefully soon to be new tires. I wonder if it would be cheaper to ship by weight or volume? If I bring her on Emirates A380 to JFK, someone told me I get a pair of business class tickets to NYC so I can fly wth her. Any ideas how hard is it to spring a 26 year old black Countach with middle eatern licence plates from US customs in NYC? I keep a motorcycle with Dubai plates in Milan (good for a laugh at traffic lights). I think this could be tougher though. Image Unavailable, Please Login
John, It can come under a "Show & Display" examption and the shipper who is by far the best and most reliable that will arrange everything is www.cosdel.com The car will come to San Francisco, but I dont blame you if send it NYC and drive it clear across the country.... Joe Sackey www.lamborghiniregistry.com PS - For anyone who is abroad, I have personally used Cosdel as my shipper to bring in two Miura SVs over the past 10 years. They are so knowlegeable that most of the vintage race cars and Pebble cars that come into the USA for the Monterey Historics and Pebble Beach weekend come via them. Ask for Martin Button or Henri Mora.
Here are a few good ones... Joe Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Hey Sackey once you said the proper name of those flares, also you said they were designed by Gandini himself what was the name again? petula or something along that Can't remember and can't find that post neither
I referred to them as "spats" but they are also referred to as wheel arch flares too. Gandini penned the original items with intergrated front bumper-airdam for the production LP400S, but I think someone in the development department (Marchesini of Piero Drogo's Carozzeria Sports Cars/Modena fame) simply fabricated the items that went onto the Wolf cars (#s 148 & 202), the Silvera car (#222) and the other 'Mulettas'. I know the original spats on #148 were in fact aluminum, but the others were done in fibreglass. Does all this mean ANYTHING to you? Joe
