Do many of you drive your F355 in the rain? I've had my car for 7 years and drive it alot--35,000 miles but only a few times in the rain --- it never seems to run as well. Maybe I am being paranoid. With all the open engine grills it is hard to keep water out when it sits in the rain. Should I not worry about it?

The PZero's on my car can't handle a lot of water, other than in a straight line. I also find road temperatures near freezing level are just as hellish.
Anyone have better experience with Pilots?

I actually like driving in the rain. Same goes for riding bikes, usually take the super-moto out to play when it's raining. I've had the 355 out a bunch of times in the rain, and it runs great. Makes one hell of a roost at speed from the underbody. One year at the Monterey historics it rained and drizzled almost everyday we were there, the car didn't miss a beat.

I always thought the P Zeros were good in the rain on the 355's. Make great roostertails at triple digit speeds.

I don't drive a Ferrari but I agree with you on the PZeros not handling well in the rain. Pilots were recommended to me but I am sticking with the PZeros because in optimal conditions there isn't a better tire IMO.

I was actually hydroplaning a little coming up 101 by Morgan Hill in a severe downpour with P Zeros, and that was at 50-55 MPH!

‘Course they were near worn down to slicks :)

I will not drive if it is raining, if it happens to rain after I'm out oh well. One concern would be the other people on the road.......

I was referring more to how the engine performs rather than handling. I sometimes seem to get a miss in the engine when it gets wet. I wonder if it is the sensor for the cat failing and causing a missing cylinder. The newer cars like 360 and 430 have rear engine covers that channel the water to the side of the enigne bay and not directly over the engine. I was wondering for those who drive in the rain if the F355 eninge cover has posed a problem.

Mine has never missed while in the rain. Check all the plugs to make sure water isn't getting past the boot.

early cars have 2 ECUs under the side engine bay covers that can collect warter in theory and some times do. Late cars have one ECU in cocpit. So the most important rubber boots to check on early 2.7 355s are the Ecu ones.

I drove my car a lot in the rain with the oem Pzeros...no problems at all, handled fine. I had a fresh set of Goodyear F1 GSD3 tires installed recently and they are even better in the rain.

Have been in the rain a few times, no problems other than it needing a more thorough wash afterward! My Michelin PS2's are great in the rain. My Porsche 997S has the same tires and is my daily driver....it seems to like the rain and handles perfectly.

Never had electrical problems due to rain but while running, the engine heat helps dry the rain. I try not to park it out in the rain....garage or in emergency, like at the FCA national, have an outdoor cover that works fine.

It's fine. Surprisingly, it handles just great when raining. I was once hit 155mph. while playing with a porsche under the rain coming back from Fl. in the turn pike.
Drive it like you stole. Life is short enjoy it.
