I have been waiting to say those three words for about month now. It was 1984 when I saw my first Ferrari - it was a blood red TR with a single mirror. I was hooked to the brand. It took me 22 years since to actually buy a Ferrari - that too a little sister of the TR.

I bought a 1991 348 TS today from Steve Harris Imports in Salt Lake City.It has just over 15000 miles on the clock. I am gonna drive it down to Houston on a 3 day cruise starting tomorrow.

Did the PPI and got compression numbers ranging between 174 and 178 on all cylinders and a lead down of <5%. With numbers like that purchasing the car was a no brainer. The only thing not working is the clock but who cares anyway.

The car looks pretty sweet though not concours quality for sure. But I love it to death! :)

Pictures of the car from the Steve harris website: http://www.steveharrisimports.com/more.phtml?method=lkup&firsthid=876&offset=0&qty=6&id=

I will try to post some of mine later including those of a super sweet 312PB at the dealership

I would like to thank Sean Harris and Michael Call for making the purchase process simple, painless and worryfree. I was in great hands throughout. I would wholeheartedly recommend this dealership to anyone!

The non-standard features in the car are:
    - glass trunk
    - carbon fiber sills
    - aluminium gear knob

+ dual air inlets on the front bumper
    + front bumper lip
    + cut-out rear grill

The glass engine cover rocks, by the way!

Yep forgot about these items :)

I was initially thinking about painting the bottom and getting new wheels but I think I like it as it is.

The cut out rear grill makes it look like a poor man's Speciale :)

    The upgrades planned are:
    - Hill Engg. pedals
    - Hill Engg shift gate
    - Steering wheel spacer

I want to drive the car as is for a few weeks to properly habituate myself to the car before I buy the upgrades.

Waiting for the mods is a good idea, with the exception of the steering wheel spacer.

If you are 6 feet tall or taller, you'll want at least the 1.25 inch steering wheel spacer for any long distance trip. I bought a black 1.25" spacer for $40 here (scroll down): http://www.ogracing.com/eshop/home.asp?categ=166

To install it you put both hands on the black center leather piece on your stock steering wheel and simply pull back (it pops off). Disconnect the horn button (two wires on terminal clips). Then you unscrew 6 allen screws to remove the steering wheel (it's sweet that 348's don't have to deal with air bag hassles).

The steering wheel spacer then mounts to the steering wheel location and the steering wheel then screws on top of it.

Takes 20 minutes. Makes all of the difference in the world on where your arms are positioned (e.g. resting one arm on the window sill). Dramatically less driver fatigue for tall drivers with the steering wheel spacer installed. http://www.the348.com/tech/348.html#Steering

Welcome to 'da hood! The car looks great, but I am tring to figure out the tail light grill.

They obviously were looking for a Specialle look....but it needsspacers to bring the lights flush, and the corner caps to be right.

Enjoy the car......you're gonna love it!

WELCOME!! I think the car looks terrific! The dual inlets are quite interesting... if you stick your hand into the left-side inlet, is there anything there? Does it go into the front wheel well?

    Drive it and enjoy it!
