    Here's the latest pics of my car. The body kit and custom paint were applied by Perfect Reflections in Hayward, Ca. Had to say that because they did a remarkable job. They adjusted the front fender and spoiler to match to rest of the Koenig body mods(sideskirts, fenders, rear deck spoiler). I found the NACA ducts online and they were also fitted by PR. The paint is a custom pearl blue. I wanted to go with a multi-color racing scheme but I like this color a lot. It will be sent to Norwood shortly for stage one twin turbo w/intercoolers. Should be good for 650hp (that's what the Brembos and big HRE's with Pilot Sports are for!). Hope you like it. Please comment...

    How damaged was the donor car prior? Surely you didn't molest an undamadged car? Surely?

    Wow, the TR already is a wide car. Those rear fenders are ... even wider.

    I am not usually a body modification guy, but I think it looks nicely done. You are almost required to have the turbos to back up the bad attitude of the rest of it.

    ROFL Just noticed the Hybrid in front of your Koenig, I'm sure the driver felt serious inadequacy issues near the Koenig :)

    what are the real wheel/tire measurements with those fender flares? Do you just offset the wheel more or stuff 15" wide rims under there?

    Very nice resto... very nice. FYI.... Norwood does not build those turbo units themselves...they get them made by the folks at PT turbo. My mechanic gets these same units for under 800 USD a piece.

    It appears (from your beautiful resto) that $ were not the primary concern but just in case they are (when contemplating a twin turbo conversion) IF your want a second quote - i have a mechanic up here in Vancouver, Canada who would be more than willing to talk to you about cost etc....

    By the way, this twin turbo + intercooler retrofir is nothing more than a bolt on kit and does NOT involve changing out engine internals i.e. the bottom end of your engine....BUT this is something you should think long and hard about doing (connecting rods, pistons, rings etc + new headers) IF you want engine longevity with any sort of TT setup.

    ONE LAST piece of advice - don't ever drop the clutch or do a standing burnout with this type of a TT setup - if you do you will find your tranny on the road!

    Dr.W: Sooo...have you added the TT/IC to your Testarossa along with the F512M gearbox?!? Sounds phenomenal - more details? Stock fuel inj keeps up?

    Have seen 90koenigTR's car @ local gatherings - it was impressive *BEFORE* Perfect Reflections got it...look forward to seeing it again soon! Makes my/any stock 512TR/Testarossa look narrow!!

    In this colour and with these modifications, this koening testarossa looks like a 512 BB, especially in the back. regards.

    love the rear and the rear spoiler from the side. Surely a big time road presence. I looked to buy a koenig car and William is correct, upgrading the tranny will be money well spent. Enjoy the ride, thumbs up from me.

    blu328gts:

    F512M gearbox is already in place but NOT the TT setup. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting to get my TR back on the road from the first round of upgrade's ( wiring harnesses and new ballasts for my new Xenon light setup are not yet finished). I currently have a 24 dual Direct Port Nox injector system in place with much larger injectors and a 2nd fuel pump (which I had mounted inside one of the fuel tanks). This system was designed to put out an extra 300 HP at the press of a button (Actually 3 buttons - 1) purge button 2) bottle warmer and 3) Nox "On" button)...Ergo the need for the upgraded gearbox and imput shaft. I am however, giving serious consideration to a TT setup (for next spring) with an upgrade to a custom Big Stuff 3 EFI system (and have done a lot of research into these areas).

    Admittedly, Norwood's setups are very good and have stood the test of time.....BUT i am hesitant to utilize their bolt on TT kit for two reasons: 1) signif. cost and 2) I truly believe that the extra BHP should not be applied without ALSO beefing up engine internals (creating even more cost). I know my mechanic can achieve all of this for signif savings.

    Thanks for all the great comments and advice, my comrades. And, um, no, this car was not damaged before I had the work done. Sorry my respected purist friends. I saw the Koenig TwinTurbo in a car magazine when I was growing up and I thought that it was the most strikingly beautiful Ferrari that I had ever seen. It had a cleaner yet totally muscular look to it. For sure, the TR already has one of the best rear ends on a motorcar. Now the rear tires are 335 pilot sports on 18"HRE's. It is brutally wide. The paint is an all-pearl custom blue (no metal flake). I decided to keep my orginal mirrors & headlight covers(I've installed an HID kit) and hold off on the Koenig crescent rear spoiler. It's true that the turbos are a 'must' now. Will contact the Dr. and keep everyone posted.

    I guess to each his own, beauty in the eye of the beholder and all those other sayings.

    The doors look very "Fiero Kit" ish. The car just looks incorrect and incomplete. But the last thing you should even care about is my opinion.

    The TR looks wrong without the cheese graters on the sides.

    Twin Turbo Dreams....
    A message from the kind folks at Fantasy Junction, Emeryville,CA :

    "Dear Vijay;
    The TR is in the truck and on the way.

    All the Best;

    Bruce"

    I am in India and they were nice enough to see that the car made it into to the truck safely (I was worried that it would be a little too wide!). If you are in the SF Bay Area, you should see their collection of exotics and race cars. Pretty outrageous! Happy Holidays, my friends, and All the Best for the Coming New Year

    The car looks great! Best of luck! Would love to see pics of the transformation steps, and keep us informed of the mods you make. I may never mod my car on the outside, but I may do a complete engine on it at some point, so I'm interested in what you do and how.

    To a purist, the mods might be blasphemy, but to a fellow car guy who dreamed of TRs and Koenig TRs as a child, you did a great job, and it appears you did it in a first class manner ;)

    Wow. Thanks for all the great comments- even the ones that were, um, not in favor. It has been a dream come true. Yes, I sometimes wish that I had invested my resources in a newer car with better technologies and a nicer interior. But the fact is that I have also lusted after hopped up American muscle cars like late 60's Camaros and Chargers in addition to the exotics. In this car, I have both. A hopped up Italian exotic muscle car. And, I now know that there are a bunch of friends/owners who share this opinion. Supercool. Until I can afford to buy an Enzo or a 288 GTO (not yet in the classic car frame of mind), I will just be darn grateful.

    Anyhow, I am overseas right now. Norwood says that they are taking photos of the modification procedure. Should be cool. I will post them upon my return. Thanks Again. Right on, ride on
