I'm still just a beginner in photography. actually got into it as a result of my interest in digital media and 3D modeling. haha, I think people call them "idiot-proof cameras", Jon. I use a canon powershot because the F-stop and the exposure can be set manually but small enough to carry for travels.. nice compromise except for the noise in the higher iso and no bokeh.

an F0.95 lens? must be expensive and huge to be that fast. must ask the D1 owner leh.. he must be pro one.

Did you get the body only or kit for your D80? Have you tried the 8 minute long bulb mode yet? interested to see what kind of results it can achieve. your current skill is fine.. that Lambo shot was seriously well taken.. I think with more practice, you can develop your "artistic photography" skill as well.. you already have the equipment.

Parasites.....usually "physically" smaller & known to feed off a host then multiply, very difficult to get rid & a PITA.

Otherwise also known as "Hor-sin" (House-flies) in kopitiam. I used to enjoy shooting them with rubber bands released from a metal ruler. Poor bugger gets squashed by a rubber hitting it @ probably 100km/h.

Like I said before I don't condone personal attacks even though sometimes situation calls for it. Lets not bully others.

After all I am sure we all like to hear of his regular "adventures" whenever he drives that car of his. Its very interesting, with all the bad weather, rocks on the roads, tricky handling, uneven idling etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc

Lets just sit back and watch his show shall we? Agree?

sounds like you need to readjust your idling speed. after changing the clutch, the clutch free-play and the idle speed may need to be readjusted and maybe your mechanic adjusted it differently.

And since your clutch is also heavy, just get the clutch lines and actuator checked as well.. don't compromise with that amount of hp behind you.

Hey Cow-peh-cow-boo. If you're so smart why don't you try giving an idea to solve my mechanical problem but instead choose to do what you're best at? Well, if you're willing to lend a hand, I'll even buy you lunch!

When we talk about tyres, you talk about free coffee. We talk about driving, you talk about floating/sinking. Do you have a problem that we can share? Some bad childhood?

Why hide behind that screen of yours, oggling & pimping people's ride? Now that reminds me long ago when we saw a real AMG CLKGTR sitting @ Changi & this Ultimo guy PM me claiming he has one kept in a garage but never had a pic or two to share his joy.

We've welcomed several non owners here to join our gatherings & even took a 15yr old out on a ride before!

So, age is obviously not an issue. It's the state of mind. I won't get into mud slinging with you, won't want to dirty my hands.

When one messes too much with something, problems are bound to happen...the only situation is take your car to the dealer and have them sort it out for you, or undo whatever you have done till the problem goes away. Then you know the culprit.

As for lunch, I just ate.

I use the Esso only to wash my car. There are indeed lots of exotics there.

For waxing I use Mr Shine at the Mobil Station along Dunern rd just before Newton. Mr Shine waxes all my other cars too. I like his work.

Also you can contact Ah Ming, who was ex HSM in house detailer. Does an excellent job. But does not have a shop to work from. He works out of peoples condos.

I would strongly recommend Groomworks (www.groomworks.com) - friendly & excellent service. The boss Yong is a really nice guy as well. They have 3 outlets (Siglap/Maxwell/Commonwealth) and you can also buy a car wash package from them, which is even cheaper than those at gas stations.

A very good read on spark plugs with pictures!

    http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=121401

That's if you want to get your hands dirty. How often do you guys change them anyway? I normally do them when I do the first service & leave them alone for the next two/three years & look them up if something's wrong.

Do you guys actually believe in those platinum/iridium or whatever fancy tips that costs a few times more than the usual?

Its not so much as the matter with spark plugs but the environmental conditions that affect the overall current and the ability to remove heat. Therefore one should look at the ambient air temp, barometric pressure, timing, compression and the air fuel mixture....now i am getting hungry, like i said dun be so stubborn, HSM can fix ur problems dear...
