    WOW,

Eugenio must be lining all your palms with silver, I know he does great work but he is not the only shop that does all the work you described.
We ( tillack), Take photos, Detail the engine bay and car, Perform follow up calls, I am not he trying to sell ourselves as we have about a 6 month wait time for service but you guys need to realise that what he does is not Special its just the correct way and other shops in the south bay also do the work correct.

Lining my palms? Gimme a break!
I give credit where it is due, that's all.
I am sure there are other operations that do good work (Tillack), I don't know them or go to them.
I just tell my story of my experience, whether they are good or bad, I have the choice to tell them and I DO!
In this case they are ALL good!

    Dear Tillack

if you truly have a 6 month wait then why are you here plugging for yourself ?

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=117579

    instead,
you should be hard at work at the shop getting those cars out to reduce your "6 month wait" to a "4 month wait".....right ?

you'll make people happier that way :)

I am also a long time customer of Eugenio's. My Ferrari and now most recent Maserati acquisition are exclusively serviced by "E". But water seeks it's own level, and if good work and customer service is not so special, then "We (tillack)" if you are just as good, then why don't your customers rave about your organization on this forum.... ???

I have seen other threads where a particular dealer, or independent has been praised for a job well done, or a particular situation was corrected and the customer is well satisfied. And...I have seen flame wars as a result of some other sub standard wanna be, getting their knickers in a twist because they have no mention and feel upset. (so get over it).

Praise is given where praise is due. If you want some of it, you'll have to earn it.

I have obviously hit a nerve, as stated i am not here to sell ourselves we have a great reputation as a vintage Ferrari specialist and have been doing service on newer cars for 5 years , that is probably why you have not seen us on the forum that much, I don,t feel that i have to earn my respect here as our work speaks for itself. I also made the comment that Eugenio does great work, I agreed , i just stated that he is not the only shop is south bay of doing this kind of work, As some of you think he is the only and best shop in california, I encourage that you keep going to him.

Hey guys, in all fairness I have to help smooth some edges here. I have personally entrusted my Ferrari to Eugenio and to Craig at Tillack and they both are the best if you can have such a thing. Eugenio is one of the best human beings IMO on the planet, so is Craig at Tillack. Although they overlap slightly in what they do, they are both experts in their own right in their niche of expertise. Tillack works on 12 cylinders and a lot of vintage car restorations for Pebble Beach, etc. They have some amazing craftsmen that can fabricate parts from scratch and provide racing services for vintage and current racing teams. Craig has always been honest and forthright and his expertise and opinions have saved me from making some hasty and costly decisions. He always calls and or e-mails to keep me up to date on what's going on. Recently, I had the Ferrari in for some work and he provided me pics of the process as well as hard copies for my files later, plus he's just a very nice guy........English chap you know.....very proper.
I have been lucky enough to view some of the vintage cars they care for.....it's a damm museum of some of the finest concourse Ferrari's, 250 GTO's, Formula 1 cars, etc. you've ever seen. If you ever get a chance to visit them....do it!.............it's better than Peterson.
Eugenio, what can you say that hasn't been said before, a true gentleman and perfectionist in everything he touches, luckily, one of them was my Ferrari. An amazing mechanic that truly understands the soul that goes into our cars. I think he prefers to work on eights rather than twelves. His shop is immaculate as well, and on top of all that he's just simply a great guy.
Well, there you have it, IMOHO two of the great choices, both with their own line of expertise, you won't be disappointed with either, as I am sure there are other great shops and mechanics that I'm not aware of.....choice is a good thing. I think it's important that we all watch out for one another
and make it known who the good and bad guys are.

I'm due for a 30k Major on my 308GT4 in the next couple years, and I'm seriously considering making the drive to the L.A. area to have his shop do it. I think that the extra expense in gas and time (in transit) will be well worth it....
