In my search for a titanium 360 spider, I frequently check ebay and came across this listing today for a 2001 Red 360 F1 for sale with this description:

"I am selling my 2001 Ferrari 360 Spider with paddle shifters. This is my 3rd Ferrari and I have learned a few things that when buying a ferrari that will make your ownership awsome or a disappointment. I am going to share some insights with you. First, buy a red one..thats the color a ferrari is supposed to be...silver ,gold ,light blue, and even yellow will let you down when your friends ask what color your new ferrari is, and lets face it..the guys that buy these colors just plain can't afford the red one. Secondly....BUY ONE WITH PADDLE SHIFTERS! everyone will ask if it has "those paddle things on the steering wheel", it will be a big letdown if you have to say no. 3rd..red calipers and the fender shields...if yours does not have them then its because you skimped to save money and everyone will know it. 4th..owning a FERRARI is all about ego, we all know it is..it shows that we can have one and they can't..sounds mean but its true! I own one you and you can't afford one (work hard make good decisions and when you are 35 or older you can have one too...just make good decisions between now and then). Ferrari owners are ego driven so dont say no to the color, paddles, shields, or calipers, if you have to say no to one of those questions it will make your ownership less pleasant.

Now.......I have a 01 RED 360 spider with paddles has had the 5,000 mile service done, red calipers, shields, low milage and perfect condition. NEVER any paint work, this is a low milage no stories car..title is in my hand PERFECT CONDITION. New P-zeros all the way around..I sent the wheels to california customs and had them chromed (stock wheels) dust cover and seat covers are included...this one is loaded and has the electric seats...I could go on and on...I bought the car about 2 years ago, it had 4,600 miles on it then and only has less than 5,600 miles on it now....I can afford and do take miticulus care of my cars and motorcycles.....this car has been babied and has never saw rain."

    Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-360-Ferrai-360-spider-paddles-SERVICED-low-miles_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ84156QQihZ006QQitemZ160054189411QQrdZ1

I find the in-your-face sales approach amusing, though I am still seeking the titanium 360 because another ebay listing said that buying a red ferrari results in contracting erectile dysfunction within a year and I like my penis the way it is :)

Seriously, it looks like a nice car, your write-up is slick, but your photographic representaton really needs some help. Go back in and add some better photos of the car. Photos speak louder than any words can. Good luck. I

I guess everyone is entitle to his opinion, but I happen to disagree with most of his statement. He also wants lots of money for his car!

This guy ("Jeff") might benefit from reading "How to Win Friends and Influence People". It also appears that someone sent money and is not happy.

This guy is funny but not correct. So many of us love our 6 speed 360's. I have a red tan, 6 speed spider. At Fcar gatherings there are always comments from other 360 f-1 owners who say they enjoy their F-1's but often wish they had a 6 speed.

funny guy. BTW, here's one of his responses after I asked which ferrari owners prefer chrome rims.

    Jeff Fenwick:

I would be willing to bet EVERYTHING I own (and its more than you could dream of) that you would have NO idea what ferrari owners want since you dont and never will own one LOL .

A car with paddles, what is this a fricking boat???.
Run a carfax, car most likely has frame damage, has never been serviced, and has had nine owners.
I've got 55k burning a hole in my pocket for this car.
    What a pile!!!

I disagree on the caliper comments, I have yellow and think the contrast is more attractive, not a budget thing.

Before he got the 360 he was probably told that all Ferrari owners were dicks, So he must want to pass the tradition on...

DSd you got it straight :)

I liked my 6 speed 360 and I like my F430 F1. I do not think there is a color cost penalty for Red versus Yellow. Both of my Ferrari's have been red but I would enjoy a yellow. I think they look cool.

I would not own a ferrari without the shields. In my humble view they make a statement about the car.

I do not agree the I can afford one and you can't. I own ten cars and Ferrari in my mind is the driving experience. My race Lotus drives better, my Ford GT is faster etc...etc It is a different and unique driving experience.

More to the point my friends 1986 Buick Grand national at 806 HP and 800 or so ft-lbs of torques is awesome. He built the motor himself and drags it and uses it on the street. In my mind that is bragging rights! :) Besides in a straight line he can beat everything i own expect maybe, only maybe the 427 1965 Shelpby Cobra. Also he drives better than I.
