    Just finished washing my car, shut all the doors and noticed the interior dome light is on. The little map light is not. Tryed pushing every button - won't go off. If I push the switch up beside it- it does not go off - stays on. Don't want my battery to die - HELP

    Yours has a switch?? On mine one just pushes the light itself to the forward position and it will go off with a time delay after the door closes or you start the car.

    It is not exactly a switch - it is more like you say - a push back or forward kinda switch. I started the car, closed the doors and waited about 5 minutes - didn't go off. I opened all the hatches and resecured them - still on.

    I am guessing you already tried the button just aft of the hazard button to the right of the shifter??

    It seems strange that this would just happen out of the blue.... :(

    That was it - got out the owners manual and read it. Weird that the light has a button by the light to turn on or off and a button in the center console to turn on and off....One would of done just fine..Must have bumped it on while cleaning the interior. Now I know - learn something new everyday!!!

    Now I feel stupid.. Been struggling with that same problem for weeks, so I decided to take off the light bulbs. And it was just the button on the center console.

    Life would be much harder without this forum, wouldn't it?

    I thought I was going nuts. It is a very good feeling when you find that others have been caught by the same silly/stupid "gotchas". Especially when someone with Robbie's background is included in the same pool. :)
