Wow...that dude must have been flyin'. Looks like this just happened in Port Chester not far from Hunting Ridge Motors. Mark Starr knows the owner (who wasn't driving) and the car...
Holy ****. Right into it! Very sad. Another one put to rest. Does anybody ever wonder if this is just too much car for most owners?
Well, at least it didn't happen in NYC. Otherwise, they would have written him up for violation of the 'no standing' zone prohibition.
Looks like the impact sent the rear half of the car into the air and into the wall, which may account for the substantial rear damage.
the wheels still look pretty good -on a serious note, the driver is lucky the windshield did not collapse...
wow that nuts. For 500k they should def include some track time with this car. Then they should give owners an insanity test. Martin I agree, one day when I have the funds, lets get some CGT and destroy a couple tracks with them. That car must be a blast on the track!
Did you see that? That pole ran right out in front of me!!! Seriously though I'm glad there were no major injuries to the driver, even though i would hate to have to face the owner after that.
pole: 1 porsche c-gt: 0 on a serious note, it is good to know the driver at the time survived without any serious injuries. seems like this car is not the type for any driver without some serious track/racing experience, regardless if it is on a track or public road. how many porsche c-gt's has this been now? i can think of three off the top of my head.
It is a shame that so many nice cars die because people that can afford a race car don't have the experience needed to drive one. I'm glad the driver was okay. No word on the owner, but he can't be happy. Why did the hood climb the pole? Its good that it didn't take the driver out, but the way it climbed the pole makes me wonder if there is a design flaw. Shouldn't it be crunched up?
