Nice pics Joe! Well that did it, I'll be there for my first Concorso. Now I just need to find my keeper Countach before then, or bring a big check book with me Tony
the only thing wrong with the 25th is the front bumper/fascia .... Blame it on Pagani. P.S. I wonder how an Anniversario would look with a regular plain bumper.
I didnt know you were in the market...we will have to talk because some real special ones have just crossed my desk. Joe www.lamborghiniregistry.com

)OK, taste is a very personal thing - but IMO the 25th looks like on drugs. Pumped up and completly out of proportions. Not only the front bumper, also the modifications around the air-boxes, sills and rear lights. Molto horribile and for the medallion-guyzzzzzzz.....! Ciao! Walter
Joe, In post #91 the Wolf car has some lettering on the side. Have not seen that in any other photos. What was it? BTW, as a side note, in 1983 I got a wolf (hybrid) puppy for a pet. It was only fitting to name my wolf Countach. He lived to a ripe old age of 17. I figured then it was the only way I would ever own a Countach. Fortunately he lived just long enough to see me get a real one!
LOL! I have a lot more photos you havent seen (or anybody else for that matter!). The lettering says Auto Lorenz (from memory) who handled the sale of the Wolf car. I had a chance to buy it 16 years ago and I said "No the car looks too gaudy with all these silly logos painted-on....". Note that among the many stupid decisions Ive made over the years. LOL. They drive very well though.... I sold mine years ago, simply because I couldnt take the styling any more ;-) Joe
I grew up in Toronto, I remember seeing that car when I was a kid, first Countach I ever saw, driving westbound at the intersection of Lawrence and Leslie Avenue. Still remember it like I was yesterday (as I recall I was a passenger in Mom's 73 Super Beetle). Wanted one ever since (the Countach, not the Beetle). I also remember the article which appeared in the Toronto Star about Mr. Marshall and his Countach. I also remember my parents telling me to grow up and forget about such nonsense. Heh heh heh... I wonder if some kid will spot me driving mine this weekend, maybe find and buy one 30 years from now. Mine will be 56 years old by then (but still not for sale). BTW, what's planned for the 50th anniversary event?
No its not Bobby Wallace, and I should point out that Wallace goes nowhere. When I last visited him, I was reminded why- he practically lives at his shop. He is just not the sentimental type and could care less about the past, so we gave up trying to drag him along to events years ago. Nonetheless, we can still raise a glass (or cigar) and thank him for risking his life with all the on-the-road testing that made the Countach concept a production reality for you & I to enjoy. I say: "Thanks for the (V12) music, Bob. Grazie" Joe www.lamborghiniregistry.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here is some off topic picture of Countach... BTW Joe I am visiting your web regulary and I think it's really well done ! Reg Tad Image Unavailable, Please Login
We were suppose to stop and see him this past Friday but got tied up. We told him that we would try and make it there this week. If you catch him in a good mood he will talk about the past. Last time I saw him he talked about how Lambo had really no money for R&D. I think he was the R&D!! Some years ago a friend of mine took him a Ferrari trans that the dealer could not put together for a year and gave up. My friend brought a box of parts which was the trans along with a workshop manual for it. Bob practically threw the manual back at him and said he did not need it. A few days later my buddy got the call to come pick it up since it was done. It shifted better than when the car was new!!He is just brilliant at what he does.
...I know, but thats Bobby. Those who worked with him at the factory will tell you, the man has a dour outlook on life, and he just doesnt suffer fools gladly either. He is not coming, for all the tea in China.....or should that be, for all the Countachs at the Reunion Valentino who test drove almost every single Countach built (along with Cesare Lodi) bwill be there, and at least one other Countach hero. Thankyou. We (Glen & I) aim to please, and the registry is still there 7 years later even though some said it would last 6 months. Even the Lamborghini factory references it (LOL, the ultimate endorsement!), so we are quite proud, and thanks to all who have helped & supported. Joe www.lamborghiniregistry.com
My favorite quote from Wallace is from when he was asked by Pete Lyons if the factory had "special" engines for testing journalists. He replied matter-of-factly in typical Wallace fashion: "Aw, we had whatever you wanted" Fabulous. That sums up Lamborghini's heritage & history! Steve, here he is working on your car circa 1987. ...The Reunion celebrates 35 years after Ferruccio gave the Countach concept project the nod. This was in 1972, upon Bob Wallace and Stanzani's return from the Targa Florio. The significance of the Countach is that it was The Old Man's last act before calling it a day. Joe www.lamborghiniregistry.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, I know the picture well... I have this one in a book since I was 17 years old. I have a F430 and can't afford to have a Countach now, but I hope to have one before the prices really take off.
Some more from the archives. Is there a more stunning sports car?
