I usually try not to get involved in stuff like this, but FWIW, here's my 2c. I've "heard" about these stories (i.e., "Boxer") in Matt's past, but I know nothing of them first-hand. They were before my time here on FChat. Regardless of what the final resolution of those situations were, I don't really care at this point. I see NO need in continuing to bring stuff like that up in a thread like this. As LetsJet already mentioned, you've called B.S. - fine - leave it at that. The current issue of Forza has an article on the factory resto program. Prominently pictured on the first page of said article are 3 cars, one of which is a green 400 - not exactly 250GT0 material! If the factory is willing to touch a 400, they're certainly not going to turn away a 308QV. Whether or not Matt can produce a Bill of Lading matters not to me. If anyone here seems to be seeking attention in this whole thing as of late, it's you. Give it a rest....please....for the good of the community.
People, that I have mentioned, and even more that I have not, have seen the email chain and have been abreast of the process. If it was BS, where is the BS from them? Jim G - Has seen most, if not all, of the emails. A few have been to people he knows and have been in direct contact with. Wayne - He has seen most, if not all the emails. Bruce - He has seen most, if not all the emails. Wax - He has seen most, if not all the emails. NNO - He has seen most, if not all the emails. Others like Tillman, Steve R and a few others have seen them as well I think. I have also asked them not to say anything on the board about it until I am ready to post every. the thing is, he has provided no proof. All he has said is, so and so has emailed me. This person and this person has seen the emails. The fact of the matter is, he has jerked people around before. Even though Matt can be a jacka$$ to a lot of people (sorry matt, its true), the point of this thread if i'm not mistaken was for matt to see if it would be feasible money wise to send his car back to get restored. I agree. All previous problems aside, Matteo is the first FChat member to undergo the factory rebuild process in "public." We can all benefit from his experience and this could be one of the best threads on the board if we let it proceed on-topic. In light of this possibility - Matteo, would all wear-and-tear items be planned for replacement even if they look pretty good and are functionally acceptable (for example, glass)?
