Ouch! I don't know the details yet, but apparently this occurred last night. This is about 60km north of where I am. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's definitely something that can be fixed. It will take 6 months to a year, but this F40 will be back on the road good as new.
Nasty. It doesnt look too bad and Im assuming the occupants are ok. Thats the main thing. Car should be able to be rebuilt ok.
Does anybody know the s/n??? Because I know of a car that went to south africa a couple of months ago. Hope it wasn't this one! And I also hope the driver ist well and that the car will be fixed Martin
Quite a few times super cars like F40s F50s and maybe Enzos are crashed and rebuilt. Any other ferrari woukd have buyers running away. But what happens to the super car values? Are there any penalties?
That is a very good question chaa. I would like to know what some Ferrari guru's would say about that. My theory is............with any of the 'normal' Ferrari models, there are plenty around to choose from, so you stay away from a bent ones if possible. But Ferrari Enzo and F50, around 400 cars built and the F40 around 1300 cars built, there are not as many around, so they are fastidiously rebuilt (hopefully better than before) and people still continue to pay the normal prices for them. Thats what I reckon anyways. I could be way off the mark there with this post.
Wow, I think I've seen that F40 before. At Vigletti in Cape Town in July 2000. Looks like the same Enkei wheels.
