LEVEL OF TAIL PIPES ON A 308 QV

I took all precautions and read all threads before installing my new X-OST and Hyper flow. Had to shave 2 donuts so the muffler would not be offset to the left. Now I realize the tailpipes are sitting too low in the openings of the exhaust cover. Is there any way to raise the tailpipes orientation other than ajusting the connection between muffler and catalyst??? Can I raise the side muffler attachements to the underbody (you know those funny supprts mounted on springs), there is an hexagonal nut at that level and I wonder if it is an ajustment for this purpose. Help! Any suggestion??? Thanks.

 

It is a single cat 1985. My impression is that the lateral spring mounted supports act as a pivot with the hook up to the catalyst at one end and the tail pipes at the other end . If I were able to lower the catalyst connection to the muffler by 1.5 cm the tail pipes would raise by the same distance. but to do so I realy have to change the orientation of the cat. and give it a downward angle... raising the lateral attachements to the muffler sounded so much simpler. The impression I get is that these spring-holders may be at a fixed (unchangeable) level. Darn! Any idea from Daniel Pass?? Thanks for your help. To be followed...
