Woke up this morning when my power went out and found about 4"-5" of snow on the ground. Decided that I'd go get some breakfast and hope the power was back on when I got home. The plan worked flawlessy!

It was raining when I left home and raining on the way home. Next it started with some freezing rain then back to a nice wet snow again (for another inch or so). Now were back to a very light sprinkling rain.

Nice day to crank up the fire and watch some football and movies!!

    Hope everyone is staying warm!!

Went to work this morning, 7" of snow and no electricity in Arlington. Snagged some stuff to work on for the next couple days and went home.

7" of snow, 3" of ground clearance

Last weekend I went to the Oregon coast and in my way back I decided to avoid I-5 so I took Hwy 101 North to Aberdeen and from there to Bremerton to take the Ferry. To my surprise I got snow from Aberdeen all the way to Seattle. The Ferrari is not the best car for these conditions. The High performance tires do suck in the snow. Not that I slowed down or anything like that, but it was stressful. I wasn’t prepared at all; I was wearing a pair of Puma Speed cats so I could not even get out of the car for a pit stop.
The worst was the lat mile. Magnolia was completely covered with new snow. The tail wanted to come around a few times but it was more fun than dangerous. I'll post some pictures later.

Great looking car, Matt...but what's that funny thingy with numbers dangling from the front bumper. Never saw one of those before on a Ferrari (that's my story and I'm sticking to it).

Starting a 10HP engine with a rope didn't do it much good.
Fouled spark plug. A little carb cleaner and a blowtorch down the spark plug hole for a couple of seconds, pop the plug in and it started on the first pull

Seven in. down KF way and me on crutches with knee surgery. I hate winter. 6 deg. last night. More of the same tonight. DJ you gotta get you a newer gen with electric start or down size to 5hp. 10 hp? You providing power to your buds next door? Havnt heard anything from Byron over on the west shore. Hope he's ok. Byron...Byron....anybody. Cheer up----Januarys comming.

Guess it wasn't as bad as it could have been. You guys got hit a lot harder. I had a total of probably around 6" between the two days. Byron lives about 20-25 miles north of me and probably got a little more.

Just started snowing again here about an hour ago.

Heated seats sure are nice! Rear wheel drive in the snow is not the greatest but the Lincoln has been doing just fine with traction control and new tires.

First couple pics were Sunday and the night shot is from just now!

After nearly 20 years i still think about my old black lab. What a great dog.
10 HP is what it takes to pull 5k watts. Runs the furnace and 220 motor in the well, TV, computer, microwace etc......It won't pull the hot water tank though. When I wear this one out I'll go for a Honda 8k electric. Have to wait until I'm rich like you though:D
I think a "snow bunny" is taking care of him.................................or he's laying on a beach in the Mediteranian, the DOG!!!

Well? My God man, just how far north do you live. Well?...... I think Byron went to Hawaii with his son as per my daughter Allison. Saw the kid last week and he said something about getting over to the islands for t-day for a few days. As far as a lab goes, they are relaively easy to scrounge up. Are born 12 at a time for a reason. Get one. Keep it within the raizor wire compound around your property. Keep the bad guys away. Big bark.

Arlington is sticksville. Gotta get my water from someplace. Wish it was an oil well instead:p...
Oh great!! You just HAD to post that picture!!!

If I was home more or someone else was here to keep it company I would get another. Can't beat a black lab for personality and devotion.
Can't justify leaving one alone 12 hours a day. Screws them up psychologically, turns them into "barkers". Hate that!!!

    Whats all that white stuff?

The weather here really sucks too. Its been below 50 a few times. Every time it gets that cold I have to break open the liquor cabinet and start a fire in the fireplace.

Brian it has been 6 deg here for the past 2 nights. High 28 and 32 respectivly. Im afraid that if you lived 'uphere' your liquor cabnet would be the size of a Conex container. 8x8x8. 4 or 5 chords of pine and a freezer full of steaks, we wouldnt see you until April. Spasso and the real Norwesters are another 400 mi up. Not for the weak of heart or thin of blood.

Took the F-car on a long drive today - about 14 feet to the driveway. Needless to say I really hate the snow. Most of the snow is now solid ice though. Sparky-p51 was going to meet me w/ his T-rossa but not until the roads are completely dry. Tomorrows high will be 42 - hopefully enough to melt more ice.

    Funny you should say that.

Two years ago I drove my 308 up to Canada on Boxing Day ( the day after X-mas) to visit my good friend Peter for a vintage car show and drive. Clear and COLD all the way. We drove around Vancouver BC, he in his GT4.

I had dinner at his house and split. I got home at 8pm that night, woke up to snow on the ground the next morning. Needless to say, I left the top on that trip, these 308's have GREAT heaters, too bad the A/C doesn't work worth a crap.

I raised this one from 6 weeks. Field trained to hand and voice commands. Tough, blocky and a huge heart. Went to work with me every day when I was a builder. It killed him when I got a new job and left him home.

Born 1980 during the Mt St. Helens eruption. Stolen 4 years later. Haven't had a dog since.

He was three years old in this shot.

Diving off of a boat house roof, 12 feet off the water. If you look closely you can see the tennis ball further down.
This was on 4th of July and he wouldn't quit for almost 8 hours. He slept for 3 days after that.
    God I miss him..............................
