Can't comment on the M1 but hats off to his/her success.

My understanding is that Dubai Ferrari's are US spec. Thus, as a US spec car (not a non-US spec Euro car that is imported to the US and then 'federalized' to meet US EPA/DOT requirements) it would be importable into Canada with further adjustments to meet Canada EPA/DOT specs -- which are almost negligible --being relativley easy.

ferrari dealers are the only ones with ferrari's? or know what they're doing? the only issue is if it's a u.s spec car they have NO CHOICE but to honour the warranty.

I think what he means is that ZR brought in a US spec Enzo and can relate his first-hand experience. I imagine that the process is very similar if not identical to all of the cars that you've brought in James, but doesn't hurt to also ask directly from the horses mouth. As for me, I can't even afford the headrest from an Enzo, so I'll just shut up :D

I know there've been a few here that have imported from the US...where do you get your car inspected? I'm certainly not bringing the car to canadian tire for inspection.

Where are you Located? If your in Montreal, FoQ or AutoBugatti could service the car

I know someone who gets his US Spec 360 spider serviced by FoQ.

Highly specialized mechanics, they work on many private Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, BMW's and especially Porsches.

I always recommend these guys, they are probably the best shop in TO.

are you looking for one? if you are in vancouver then i don't believe you can order till like a year or two, but i think toronto might have some new ones avalible next year.

As for a used one i know that a dealer in vancouver (not FMoV) has both a coupe and spider avalible.

when you import a car from the states the only place to get the form 2 stamped for admittance into canada is CANADIAN TIRE, if CANADIAN TIRE does not inspect your car to make sure the proper requirements have been done you will not be able to get a canadian ownership.

it's not like they get in your car and drive it around, you bring them your paperwork wait till your turn walk out to the car turn it on so they can see the daytime running lights etc., and they stamp the form.

Or people cannot waste there time and let someone who does this for a living take care of it.

Cars imported from elsewhere (e.g. Europe) have to be inspected at an authorized CAA Inspection Centre.

I'm not sure if the same applies to US cars...

Here in the Montreal area there is one at the Sunoco service station on Sources road off the 2-20 in Dorval (or is it Pointe Claire?)...
