This is bizarre that you should post this, because just yesterday I was thinking I needed to PM you and find out when the all-black Italian beauty would arrive...

Is that the new DB9 convertible...? Looks great... Any chance you'll paint the wheels black and tint the windows...?

 

As an after thought - and I know in your case it'd be a bit of a hassle - but have you ever thought about parking all of your black cars together for a group photo...? That would be pretty cool... Let me know if you can't find your camera, I'll drive out there and take the picture myself...

Yes, only the one in the movie is the coupe version with a sport package on it.

Well. close. The photos show a DB9 Volante. Volante is Aston-speak for droptop.

Casino Royale features a modded V8 Vantage, which (I think) is being called the DBS. You're right, it's a coupe.

I know what Volante means... thats why I said the coupe version of the DB9 and the sport version which is the DBS... which is what's in the film. Not a V8 Vantage...

...And yes, you're right, tighter security would be in order... I don't even want to talk about my trunk full of Virginia road maps...

 

My apologies - I just checked Tim Cottingham's site, and it confirms what you said....the DBS is based on the 9, not the V8, which I had previously thought. You are correct.
