    James....

Same with my CT store as well, great service...........they do it while I have a coffee......the car never moves 1 foot from where I parked it. It's a no brainer 15 minute deal.

    ac schnauzer.....

As for your relevant provincial licensing/certification inspection however, which in Alberta involves a road test and more, you can make the call as to where you go.......but CT is mandatory for RIV as already pointed out.

Perphaps but for some reason I always thought they were limited. The above post that states that one "can still order one at FoO" and the one that says that "if you are in vancouver then i don't believe you can order till like a year or two" seems to lend credence to my belief.

But then again, you could very well be right.

There's a Toyota dealer in Calgary that is authorized for the RIV inspection. If you're dead against CT for whatever reason, I would imagine there has to be an altenative in TO.

James, if the math is based on YOUR figures, I am not a little high, rather a little low. This assumes your figure on the F1 package is $2000 more than I quoted.

Is this something new? I brought in a car from the US about 10 years back and I had the inspection done at some Jaguar dealership if I recall correctly.

Wish you luck and will be interested in hearing how it goes.

Just for sake of discussion, what kind of math have you done to suggest importing a CS from the US will be relatively good value.

    1) estimated purchase price you expect to pay
    2) exchange rate
    3) taxes in prov. where you live
    4) visit to see it, bring it back
    5) any conversion costs involved
    6) potential "down the road" price adjustment if sold in Canada as a US car

Am asking these questions because the CS market in the US has gotten pretty tight lately and I'm not sure about the "cost" advantage of bringing one into Canada.

I beleive my brother told me he paid $265,000 for his 2005 F430 with F1 transmission and shields. Don't beleive that crap about being on a waiting list, show them the money, and they'll get you a car. My brother never owned a Ferrari before and he ended up with either the 2nd or 3rd F430 that was sold in Toronto. I was on a waiting list for the first spider, and when I changed my mind and asked for my deposit back, they were not very happy to say the least.
