I've been having deams lately and while some of them seem to have a meaning to me, some are really random. I'm curious on peoples thoughts on this as a lot of people say that every dream has a meaning etc etc but do they really?

yes they do. My grandmother (who is a psychologist) can interpret dreams. I have no idea what different things mean, but it is usually true. I think I heard her say once that dreams are just events/emotions being played out from the day before (or something like that).

I personally believe so. I think different people will have different beliefs... but so far in my experience.. in having had some dreams interpreted (since bought several books on it) dreams do have meaning :)

there are some great books on Dreams

Robert Monroe had some excellent books

    try a search on Amazon

Animals in dreams are very important. To understand why an animal is in your dream you must approach it and follow it and it will lead you to the meaning

there are some good books on spirit animals as well

sounds like you are pissed off because your foreign investments have taken a turn for the worse because you let your private life influence your business. Oh, and you like to snort cocaine with a mistress who is lactose intolerant.

Dreams can also be pent up feelings/emotions that you can't actually execute is socially acceptable ways.

When I was in school, I knew a girl that was getting her masters in Psychology and she asked me to participate in her study that analyzed dreams. So, for two weeks she asked me what my dreams were everyday. I had to be honest, a condition of the study. Well, I told her about me getting crazy with some other girls in class, teachers, etc. I had a few flying dreams too, whatever. Then I couldn't remember the dreams. One night while trying to recount my dream she headed the bathroom and came out in skins. We had some fun and she was able to study my dreams every day. She was wacked, but I'm not one to turn down a party. She turned in the study and got an A. I later met some of her study group. I carved-out a two more notches. I never got to see the study, but it must have been good, good for me anyway.

question is who here has slept while wearing the patch. You have the most vivid dreams and they seem so real

my wife tried the patch and had horrible nightmares, so bad i made her stop them. does anyone dream in color or b/w or both? does that mean something? myself i think dreams are just you brain taking a crap. just unconnected thoughts and incomplete unconscious experiences that your brain, that tries to make order of chaos, puts together into a liitle story.

When I started wearing the patch, I had vivid dreams about running up several flights of stairs without hyperventilating. Guess what? Years later, they are still coming true! ;)

It depends on who you listen to. Some say dreams are simply a random firing of neurons, while others put great stock in the meaning of dreams, Freud, Jung etc. So far, I don't think anyone has nailed it for sure. I tend to lean toward the random neuron theory and just like seeing pictures in clouds and other clutter we try to make sense of what we see. We remember those dreams which make the most sense.

We must sleep to refresh our body, but our mind can't in case we need to be wakened. So while we sleep, our minds just babble.

Buddhists believe that dreams connect the realm of the living w the realm of the dead. This is why sometimes you see dead friends or relatives in your dreams. Many cultures believe that dreams are just as real as physical reality, just in a spiritual instead of physical form

I, too, am in the same boat as you. It's happened to me a few times and it's petrifying.

I would then love to see what just one of my dreams looks like that doesn't make sense. All of the dreams I remember are hopelessly odd, often sad and/or dangerous and never make any sense whatsoever...

had a crazy dream last night. I was at a Metallica concert and Jesse James was in place of James Hatfield. He couldn't sing so he was pulling people up on stage to sing for him. I was singing and he then was pulling more people up on stage to play the instuments. He pulled this girl up on stage to play the guitar and it was Mrpeabody44's girlfriend who plays guitar.

friggen cool dream, I sounded good, way better than in real life on guitar hero. :D
