    Cool, I grew up a block away from Ontario Motor Speedway. I remember hearing the cars from my house. Too bad the track is gone. Replaced by Fontana (California) Speedway.

    So was I, my exploits there are documented elsewhere, and just like Robert C I lived not too far from the track, but we moved in early 1972, so I only got to see the handful of races they had, the 1970 and 71 indy cars, 1971 nhra and nascar events, and the GP....... but I spent countless hours out there after school, riding my bike out there to watch testing.

    Best years of my life, bar none, and I didn't even know it.

    I loved that track, great road course. I did five race weekends there before I got a clear day and saw there were snow-capped mountains next door.
