That's right boys. Looks like the BCS decided to send Michigan to their room and the big boys play.

I am not sure anyone can beat Ohio State right now.

I think Michigan could. They only lost by 3. It's a shame there won't be a rematch. Florida is about to get slaughtered...

I think Michigan is a better team than Florida too, but they had their shot. They got to play for their national championship already and they lost. Now we can see for real how these SEC teams stack up against the Big Ten.

As much as I hate to admit it because let's face it, a gator is a smelly, slimy, reptile with bad breath that drowns its food and lets it rot before it eats it, unlike the noble Seminole Indian, but I digress... Urban Meyer is a hell of a coach. He has a great quarterback. Let's also not forget that folks from Ohio are Yankees.

So I'm gonna say loud. I'm gonna say it proud. Go Florida!

Michigan and Ohio State both look better on TV than Florida. But I remember years ago a Miami team that was blowing every team away it played. That is until it met Alabama for the national championship game. What a great game.
It will be interesting to see if the SEC reputation as a tough league holds up. I would love to see it happen again.

big boys? Florida has 27 freshman on their team this year! Michigan definatly should have won.

We'll see who's so big when the gators get slaughtered by the buckeyes...

Aren't there usually over 100 players on a college football team? So 27 would be about right.

Urban Meyer plays with a high school play book! QB options, reverses, flee flickers...hell i wouldn't be shocked to see a fumblerooski!! OSU is going to eat that stuff up! Seriously, this game will be over before the half.

The only reason the Gators are going anywhere is because the Razorbacks played so badly and lost. But,....now that I think about it,....the hogs always blow it in the clinch. So I guess the Gators deserve it.

(I learned a LONG time ago: the hogs are MASTERS of deceit. They build you UP so that they can blow it for a BIG let down. I lost interest after the 1969 Arkansas/Texas game.)

The Gators got the nod so more power to them. I hope they beat OSU, but it's very doubtful.

They got there because the coaches voted against Michigan, not because they were pro-Florida...

On the surface it sounds unreasonable to send a team that was second in their conference to the national championships, but when was the last time the two best teams were in the same conference?

Michigan lost by only three points, but it's true OSU played the best game.

A U-M/OSU rematch would be an interesting game...the OSU blowout versus Florida will be dull and boring.

Slightly OT but here is something for the Gator fan. From the atlgator.com Alumni site.

    Gator Walkers Exceed Goal
    3 Day Breast Cancer Walk

    Link to our Team's Page

    From Team Leader, Laura Ginn...

What an amazing experience! We did it! And let me tell you...all those "gator feet" in the crowd moved some of us to tears. There were Gators everywhere...participating, on the sidelines cheering, handing
out water and goodies. At times it felt like the Gator Nation commercials on tv and it really, really kept us going!!! One crew member commented as he unloaded all the gorgeous orange gear bags, "Where did all these Gators come from???" And as we walked along the path on the last day we'd hear, "There go those Gators again."

    Gator License Plates in Georgia

Here is the rundown on the Gator license plate situation:

We are in the approval process with the State of Georgia, and will update everyone as soon as we have new information.

November 1, 2006 Update - We have been told we need to secure a bond and are in the process of getting this done. While we are too late for this year, we hope to have things completed for the next tag year.

I remember we used to aggravate Steve Spurrier's dad in Tennessee by wearing Orange Suits (UT VOLS) to church since his dad was a preacher in the East TN area LOL. I don't like Florida too much even though im a BIG SEC fan but im going to have to go with the Ohio State Buckeyes this time around. Go Buckeyes in the Big Two Conference ..... I mean Big Ten.

You'll be calling it the big three after Wisconsin puts the wood to Arkansas. Last year it was the all run no pass Auburn team getting the beat down, this year its hog killing time.

Visor boy isn't coaching, so I might as well pull for them. Go Gators!

This coming from someone who graduated twice from Auburn and once from UTK...

The Big 10 should have a championship game in the future, that way Michigan could have their rematch and THEN play for a national title. I don't like the rematch idea. Go Canes in Boise!

Congrats Gators! Somehow it makes our team seem better that the national champs had to come from behind to beat us by one point :)

Ohio State claimed the championship about 1.5 months ago. So they did not need to win last night (in their view). Glad to see Florida knock them out. Great bowls this year, all around.
