    Am thinking about painting a large prancing horse on the wall of my garage. Anyone have a good digital pattern that I could enlarge, trace onto my wall and use as my painting guide?

    I have one that I created in Autocad, how large do you need it? I can send out a plot of it pretty much as large as you want. I made a stucco relief by using this pattern by combining four sheets for a size of about 6'x4'.

    I would imagine the same could be accomplished with an "old time" slide projector, or powerpoint and a projector onto the wall.

    The one I sent you is half that size (2'x3'). If you want it 4'x6' I will need to make four plots that you will have to piece together. Let me know.

    You can use this and a projector to put on the wall. If you need it larger or smaller, adjust the distance from the projector to the wall. I have used a similar process for another mural that I painted on my wall.

    These are not clip art and are quite difficult with which to open and use unless someone has a magic formula.

    I downloaded the software recommended and got no where with it.

    Any suggestions?

    Jeff's attachment gave me an idea.

    I am going to send it to my local sign shop to see if he can blow it up and make me a nice black vinyl print.

    Anyone else interested?

    I'll get prices on a few different sizes if there's interest.

    I know the shop that did my work does work with .eps files as well. So, I'll see what they can do, and I'll post the results here tomorrow.

    Good luck!

    If you give a sharp image to a pro exhibit/sign company they can cut it 4' x 6' in black or silver vinyl you can easily stick to your wall. I’m talking just the horse w/ the background & inner shading lines dropped out. If you need a source I have one.

    The latest from the local sign company is as follows. I think he's smoking something!

    24 X 36 $120.00

    48 X 72 $460.00

    on black self-stick vinyl.

    I think these prices are a little steep!

    Hey,

    I can give you a better price, but I can only do the 24 inch one, or the 48 inch one in two parts.

    Let me know if you're interested. Those prices are totally unrealistic. Send me a PM. Cheers!

    Or you can take the .pdf files I sent h00kem and tape it to the vinyl, cut it out yourself. The vinyl is pretty cheap, and your time might be used enjoyably.
    Personally, I prefer the Cavallino in more permanent materials, but I don't mind making a mess in the process either. If you have a nice finished garage the paint or vinyl is the way to go.
    :)

    I called the local sign shop I deal with all the time. They've done lots of prancing horse stuff for me.

    24x36 = $40

    48x72 = $150
