Well, I won't tell anyone that you were named after a girl. :)

Okay, I'm not gonna lie. I was curious about your fathers name, then that got me wondering in other areas. SO with that being said, I'm sorry for the guys against Vic but I do have to give him some credibility. I did some surface snooping and I do believe his father is financially comfortable to order these cars. But regardless, like it was said before... Just chill out. There are many fortunate people on Fchat who are just as excited over these machines as you are. I don't know what it is, maybe it is the ADHD. Im not gonna bag you on that, I get giddy too. I'd just suggest waiting until after your initial reaction to things, then post. Let the excitement settle down a little?

    Revised..

I hate to sound rude, but I call BS, the Camera may have been thrown but what about the protected memory card inside? I'm sure thats not the only digital camera in the house, just put it in another one. But actually it doesn't really matter if thats true or not, either way its posts like this is what make people question you. You don't need to fill in everyone about every little thing or detail. I dont really have advice I could give you, you will find where you fit in sooner or later..

$20k premium for an early GTC, with the understanding that an Azure slot (or something else) will follow in '07, is IMO not surprising.

I'm getting so sick of hearing about your dad this and your dad that. Your dad has supposedly owned so many bentleys yet he still is clueless about the buying process. He def sounds like a guy that buys for name brand rather than driving experience.

    ANyone been to www.bentleyconfigurator.com ?
It's cool - hours of fun to be had messing around with colours, wheels, etc...

Looking forward to seeing the pics Vik - I put your dad's colour combo into the configurator and I'd say saddle/portofino is certainly an unusual combo (I don't think I've ever seen pics of a Bentley in that combo). It'll be interesting to see how it looks in real life.

OK, perhaps I initiated the VK-haters club, as his manner of "mine and ours" is a little annoying to me, but then I discovered that we have a mutual friend.

My friend knows VK and the kid's legit. As he will tell anyone, for his summer job VK had the pleasure of removing all the decals from one of my race cars this year. VK knows that I'm here on this site and I think it's highly unlikely that this is BS. I think what we're seeing is a teenager's unbridled enthusiasm for cool cars, that's all.

This was a very helpful tool when I was debating what colors and options. In my opinion way better than most companies that give you a generic exterior pic and a hard to see interior pic of you color choices. This one gets way more detailed. Ferrari should hire the same developer.

I don't doubt the fact that Vic's dad has some incredible cars. I do think that a lot of the posts contain some form of embellishment or another, whether intentional or not. I'm thrilled that Vic is enthusiastic about cars and that he gets to enjoy a lot of amazing automobiles first-hand. That should be enough, but it seems that a lot of his posts contain just a bit "more" in them, to somehow sensationalize his experiences. I can't say whether it's intentional or if Vic posts a lot without having all of the relevant facts and information. Either way, he'll continue to take shots from people as long as he continues putting himself out there like that.

+1, and I was exactly the same when I was his age... only I was excited about my dads new Corvette and my moms new BMW... hardly a fleet of Bentleys, but where we lived in Houston I thought it was hot sh^t

    Congrats Vic.

The SL65 thread must have been intentional.

Yes, the SL65 thread was intentional per Vic himself. I was referring more to his most recent threads. As you said, "just the facts." There's no need to embellish the experiences that he talks about, they are sensational enough as they really are.

He has Veyron listed as a WANTED car not an owned car. Also next to all of the owned cars says "mom" or "dad" (I assume he forgot to put it next to the Aston). Vik sorry yet another one of your threads has turned ugly before I could congratulate you, the GTC is gorgeous and post pics when you get it.

I sneek around that site when i have some free time in the computer lab at school. But that is how my dad fell in love with that combo, I said "come and look at this stupid color" He saw it and said " Get me bentley of troy on the phone, victor you are a genious" ( the genious thing was made up)

    Hey Vic...

Congratulations on the new car... I've actually only ever seen 1 bentley GT, it was on 66 in the DC area, white exterior... couldn't see in the car as it was two lanes over... but the car definitely had a presence about it.

You and I are somewhat alike. We both have parents that are able to buy these types of cars, and then share the experience of these cars with us.

There are people here (but this isn't anything special, you will find them everywhere) that may feel a bit of animosity towards us. Many (if not most) of the people here have worked their way up and earned their right to own such amazing cars. We, on the other hand, are able to experience the sensations without the work because our parents did this. I too was infatuated with exotics when I was your age, but in my case, it wasn't until 2 years ago that my Father bought his first Ferrari (and we've still got the same one).

I for one don't have any problems with these feelings... perfectly natural. Why should I be given the same amount of respect as someone that has bought their car with hard work when I haven't done that myself? However, that does not preclude people from the possibility of being a great person. In fact, I have felt welcome at the Ferrari events that I have attended with my parents, and I am very grateful for that. Everyone I have met personally has been extremely nice to me and treated me with respect.

I would like to offer some advice, which is meant to be entirely constructive, and coming from a college student, rather than an adult, may help. You may take it any way you like.

From here on, just try to remember that, like me, you are one of the luckiest kids in the world. It is clear that you truly have an appreciation for the vehicles you get to be around on a daily basis, no one can deny that. Don't try to impress anyone, and your enthusiasm will shine through in your posts. In the end, thats why we are all here, our enthusiasm for the brands of cars that so few people in the world get to experience. Thats something I always think about before I post something on ferrarichat, and I think it may help you out as well.

    Cheers
    Robert W.
