    straight from the FIA as of 4 December 2006 . . .

(note: STR hasn't listed their drivers yet - sure would be nice to see both replaced! and other Spyker driver not listed)

    FIA confirms 2007 entry list

The FIA published the official entry list to next year's world championship on Monday, with world champion Fernando Alonso duly taking his number one to Vodafone McLaren Mercedes.

The Spaniard's switch of teams means that Renault will have numbers three and four, thanks to their success in the constructors' championship.

The Honda Racing team, which will have numbers seven and eight for Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, appear to have no title sponsor in place for 2007 with their official name being entered as Honda Racing F1 Team.

Scuderia Toro Rosso have not yet nominated either of their drivers, although Vitantonio Liuzzi and Scott Speed are expected to remain on board for another year.

The only other driver vacancy is at the renamed Spyker F1 Team, where Christijan Albers' teammate has not yet been identified.

Question about the back of the grid

When multiple teams don't score points the previous season, how is the numbering order determined?

When Schumi hit Sato's helmet, what little respect I had for the guy went to zero.

Well, Sato deserved to be shot by firing squad. Sorry, I dont like him or his team here in Japan. Most TS commercials here in Japan are about his cycling.

Respect for Schumi? Why? Sato drives like an idiot, which warrants a slap on the head. I never heard of that happening, but even if it did, nobody really made a big deal about it.

I don't really care, actually, neither are my favorite drivers.

Yeah he had never been one of my favorite drivers, especially after that. I was happy for him when he got 3rd at the 2004 USGP(I was there), but I was a little surprised when he celebrated like he had just won this year at Suzuka. Really, I think Super Aguri really wants to keep him because he is Japanese. Their original plan was to have both drivers be Japanese, be Ide and Yamamoto quickly discouraged that idea. ;) He seems like a pretty good guy, though.

Schumacher lost respect when he rammed Damon Hill, then Jacques Villeneuve.

It was low, but I believe the teacher has the right to slap the student in the Sato case.

I don't doubt it, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjfkuf7M7HY is a link to the video. Schumi should have knocked him out, wouldn't you be mad if you were driving along and someone spins your car out. The only thing I find funnier now is that now SA thinks that in 2008 they will start winning races. Are they magically expecting to pick up 2 seconds a lap to come even close to what Ferrari and Renault are at right now. This team is a joke and shouldn't be allowed to race. They should only start talking when they score a point.

This says it all right here.

This is the only way Takuma would be allowed to race. Everyone else wants to get rid of him. Super Ugly (and belive me, he is) needs to stick to JGTC. He is very cold and very mean to alot of people here in Japan and on track days. The reason why Japanese can not do well in F1 is because the level of compitition is sky rocket. In japan, it is ok to loose, steal, cheat and hurt other people, as long as you say "sumimasen with a bow and pretend to cry" I dont mean to be hard but I see this EVERY DAY. I love the country, my wife and quality of life.... but I have been ripped off 300K from an Japanese guy who in court cried and said he was sorry and was only entitled to pay me "what he could afford" If it was the German/American/Austrailian/British on trial, we would be in Jail. End Rant

a guess you are referring to the back of the grid at every race, also they should try and end sometimes with crashing, spinning out, hitting other cars, having the car blow up etc. In English soccer/football the last three teams get relegated to a lesser league. That means SA, STR, and MF1 should be in GP2 right now.
