I wouldn't call it luck. More like geographic location based on centuries of known local weather.

 

Thanks to the cold front, per my desktop weather: it is currently: 65 degrees and sunny (well if the sun was still up!) Humidity at 75%

 

About 65 and sunny here... I mean it is California

 

In my neck of the desert in Arizona.

Currently 65 degrees at 7:25pm.

Wednesday: Clear, high 73, low 44
Thursday: Clear, high 74, low 48
Friday: Clear, high 72, low 44

 

The Wx has been quite reasonable in my part of the Arabian peninsula..... upper 70s/low 80s in the afternoon and mid 60s overnight. It rarely rains though it's a bit windy sometimes.

 

it was about 80 today in Los Angeles

 

Is it true that San Diego is hardly ever below 60 or above 80? That's what my friend says

Yeah, that's pretty true. Although it sometimes gets into the 50s if there is a major cold front. At night it'll drop into the 40s. But generally, 60s is a good rule of thumb.

For the next few days, San Diego and my area of Phoenix are relatively the same highs and lows.

 

Currently 5*F. Sigh, maybe I need a vacation in Phoenix!
