Wow, that's incredible Roy, I hope you have the spare time to take legal action against them, they don't deserve to be able to do business if that's how they do it.

Roy I snapped some JPEGS of your car on their site if they try to cover up the evidence. PM me and I will email them to you if you need them. I don't understand what they are gonna do with the car...it is pretty easy to sell a hot Ford Taurus, but a Murcie roadster without paperwork? Come on. Cant plate it, cant sell it. I suppose that you could look at it in your garage but where is the fun in that?

Hate to say it, but this is exactly would could happen....and it is sad.

Someone comes in, buys the Murcie. They put money down, they get the car. No retaill buyer asks for the title right then and there, you just assume you are buying a car from a dealer that will be there tomorrow.

A few weeks go buy and you have no registration and or plates yet. You go back, find the Dealership GONE out of business, they ran off with your deposit.

Here I come, trackng the car down, say sorry they had no right to sell it to you. I have the LEGAL TITLE, I take it back, and the POOR guy is out his money......I SURE hope it does not play out this way.

I have seen this happen to about 4 people over the last 3 years, ALL HIGH end cars.

More info on about 20 peopel that lost this way from a car company right here in Seattle, Auto Gallery of Seattle.

There was a whole long thread about it on F-Chat NW section.

Auto Gallery of Seattle did this, swindle about 20 people on cars right befor he flew out of town with all thier money.

The GOOD thing now, is that the Police In Sugarland, THANKS MANY THANKS to them, went by the store. They saw the car in the showroom on the floor, they asked questions to the owner, JOHN, which he stated that we "CATS" could come get the car anytime he did not want the car anymore and was not going to pay us.

SO the Officer had them lock the car up, watched as they locked the business for the night, told him he would be back at 9:30am with "CATS" flatbed truck and take the car away. If it was not there when he arrived in the morning there would be what he called "TEXAS JUSTICE" to pay.

So I think it will be OK, JUST a lot of BS for nothing..

I think the fact that I was a cop for 11 years 1979 to 1990 helped, called in a few favors from local law enforcement........

Hell I am the nicest guy in the world, (I think so) until you try to take advantage of me........

THANKS for al the support guys, will see what happens tomorrow morning...

Since you obviously spoke to them now what happened and why would they take that stance with you? I can see if a deal they thought they had flipping it went bad but if they don't have enough to cover it why would they take the position of telling you to F-off? Do they really think you will just forget about a 300k car or do they think they have the right to now have you floorplan it for them while they take as long as they need to sell it? Unbelievable. With the internet, I think this deal is going to end up costing them a hell of a lot more than the 300k.

You posted before I hit send. Hope it all works out. One more dealer to cross off the list!

It's a shame all the money you'll have to put in with the freight/truck guys just to get the car back; I hope there's no miles or damage.

    Hey Roy,
That is just BS what they did... As you can see you have lots of supporters here if help is needed. Hope you can resolve this soon. I know you will, but is just the headache when you try to make a deal happen in good faith.

If the car hadn't been returned some pickets out front with documented facts might inccur some motivation.

A civil suit for fraud would be nice with charges and expenses recovered to make it sting a little more.

Public announcements in the local paper might raise awareness.

Hell, what am I saying. Can't squeeze blood out of a Ponzi and he'll just pack up and reopen in another state under a shill name.

    Thanks for the warning Roy.

I know you are 'old-school' and have faith in a man's word, and its a shame we have to be so careful nowadays.

I hope they don't try to move the inventory out of the many nearby ports overnight. The scary thing is it happens more there than you think. I'd hate to think if it wound up somewhere South America.

Roy, Isn't this the Murci you bought from Nick Cage?? This is beginning to sound like a bad version of "Gone in 60 Seconds".
Good news is that Murci will stick out like a sore thumb..He can run but he can't hide.

Here's a description of Roys car on Global's website:

"Thank you for your interested in this 2006 Lamborghini Murcielago brought to you by one of the largest wholesale dealerships in the country, Global Motorcars of Houston. The previous owner of this Bull took extra care of this machine with no dings or scratches, and fresh rubber all the way around. The Murcielago comes fully loaded with all the super car trappings."

They forgot to mention that it doesn't come with clear title. If these guys pulled this **** with Roy, you can bet they've done this to someone else. It is chilling that a dealer can sell a car without title. Next time I pay cash for a car, I want to see the clear title and have it signed over to me.

Roy, I hope everything works out and you get your car back in one piece. As for Global, there is a special place in hell for people like you!
