This is is a very accurate replica if I ever saw one. :D...
That is painful to look at: As much as I like outrageous designs, the Alpine is such a fantastic car in its own right (not something I'd say about a Fiero), that trying to turn it into a Testarossa or whatever is really silly. The Alpine is a classic.
good job but it always seems with the Lambo replicas they get about 90% of the looks right but skimp out on the headlights and front bumper.
Sounds like a lot of the Daytona replicas: Square front lights and bumpers that aren't chromed or don't have the rubber trim.

Why pay 366K for a new one, when you can have this gorgeous phantom for only 50K well the reserve isn't met so maybe a tad more, it's well worth it though.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Phamtom-V_W0QQitemZ140067036201QQihZ004QQcategoryZ6384QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Aghh, a stretched TR..... I don't know if this was posted already but this is the worst crappy replica ever! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-Testarossa-Replica-Stretch_W0QQitemZ120067467809QQihZ002QQcategoryZ7251QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I like it. Seriously. Yes it doesn't have the elegance of a real TR, but it is a limo. And as a limo I much rather have something Maranello based than something coming out of Detroit. And they didn't even waste a real TR for it. Think about it. I mean if I'd see this thing on the street, it would make me happy and I'd race to get a picture of it. Honestly. And I don't feel like that at all when I see a regular limo.
i think i'm with you for the most part on this one. i put this in the realm of "homage" rather than "pretender", for that reason i can admire the werkmanship rather than grimace at the posuer nature of a bodykitted POS which screams "look at me for 10 seconds" (inherent with a limo as is).
Building a replica has nothing to do with being a posuer, who ever says those who replicate lambos and ferrari has probably never been around replica/kitcars nor their builders. Most of there builders/driver will tell you that they still work 8hours a day manager at wallmart or where ever, pay a mortgage and doesn't own a rolex. Not once have I ever met a replicar owner who posed as a real Supercar owner, ive met Supercar owners and you can easly tell that they own the real deal vs a replica owner who's no diffrent than me or you.
That thing has been for sale for many years now. Its built for the fun of having a Ferrari limo. It would be impossible for one to build it one a Maranello based which is why they took something simple like an F-body, stretched it and there you go.
My experience is slightly different: I have met great guys and total jerks amongst owners of real cars as well as amongst owners of replicas. What's really interesting about replicas is how they act like a catalyst for personalities: Based on the comments people make about them (whether they're owners of replicas, of the real cars or neither) you get a profound look into their personality. For better or worse. Wanna find out for yourself? Just read through this thread and you see the good, the bad and the ugly. And I'm not talking about the cars...
