Bugatti Veyron

I know what you mean, im also lucky enough to have sat in one, all i need now is for the engine to be on and get taken for a drive next time im in one!

Im not 100% sure but 99% sure I saw the bugatti getting on the 405 south at the santa monica entrance. I was waiting for the light and it made a left onto the on ramp. This was Sunday around 4:45 pm

Watching the car take the left and accelarate up the on ramp was very impressive. It was like the car was hovering over the ground and the driver made a couple of steering corrections. You can tell the steering is tight.

I went to the auto show Monday and recognized the wing and all, so Im pretty sure it was the bugatti.

 

I wonder if anyone will ever put a Veyron on an AWD dyno. Would be real interesting to see what the car really puts down to the pavement. Who knows it might even be under rated (doubtful). Did anyone hear about this thing?

I haven't sat in it, but I did see it in person at SEMA, and I've got to wonder why you'd shell out $1.2mm+ for a car with so little style. OK, maybe if I had $1.2+ for a car, I'd feel differently, but set it next to an Enzo and ask 100 people which they'd rather have, hold, and cherish. How many are gonna want the Bugatti instead of the Enzo? The car just looks too much like a squished Audi TT to me. There, I've said it.

I completely agree with you. If the either the Enzo or the 599GTB Fiorano sold at the same price as the Veyron, and I had my pick of the litter, the Veyron would be a distant 3rd. Yes it is quicker and faster, but asthetics mean a great deal to me, and the Veyron up close and personal is not a particularly attractive automobile. And to be quite honest, the Enzo and 599 are qucik and fast enough to suit me.

 

Get this Bruce...the Veyron that was for sale in LV sold for $1.8 mill to a gentleman in OC!

About $100,000 worth of rock chips and needing a new set of tires! That sucker probably has run-flats! I'll be it'll drift good though, assuming the 4 turbos are linear!

 

I'll bet lotsa girls at the nursing home will be impressed by the name! Maybe you could find one with a good case of palsy. (Oh Lord, please forgive me for what I say)

 

Referring to the fact that most people familiar with the name would be of advanced age now.....

 

...in addition to the Veyron, he also picked up a Gallardo Spyder for his wife!

 

Interesting car, but for that kind of money, I would rather have a couple of nice Ferrari's and a CGT, and some gas money ta boot.
