is anyone certain that this is truely a dino? i know the roof line is right and the doors look ok, but i would guess this is a car that looks similar, the rest of the car has obviously been to messed with to know.
Dino details include the gas door hinge and opening, engine cover hinges, some of the framework near the engine firewall as well as the rear window lip section. To be sure it has been brutally butchered but was probably a totalled car to begin with.
Notice the little metal tab for the engine compartment light switch near the hinges for the engine bay lid. Kind of a fun game trying to spot the details.
Hi gang, The seller stated: the was was modified to recieve a Renault powerplant(didn't know they made car engines too LOL),even the axles are Renault (look @ the 3 stud wheels, like the Renault 5...pffff) He did not mention if the renault engine was a fuel or a diesel engine...no paperwork with it,and to be honest,I would have bought it,if "it" had original papers.... What is important to know:the fake TR side intakes, were they on the car before '84 or after....?(when the TR was presented)? Speedman
I think this could have been a test mule for the tr or 348. this could be a steal. in all serious, when people speak of the numbers of surviving models , suckh as there are only x numbers left in thw rold, would you cosider this car to be 'lost'?
Hmmm, I would say that this is a F.F.U.A.B.R breed: Fully F:ucked Up Almost Behind Recognition...Roof line and doors give it away... On the other hand, this giallo Dino is goin' to be one of the nicest around...Be patient... Speedman Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi, Not only the wheels, but also the wheel hubs, complete brakesystem and so on....All the hubs and so on were made on special order. To be honest, the car looks splendid with those 18-ers hiding those big brake calipers under it... To answer your question:no,they don't go under it without serious mod's.. Speedman.
Like I said in the other thread about this car, it could be a modified Alpine Renault 110, they have the 3 stud wheels and a rear engine. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oh come on Bert! It is definitly a Dino,as the seller stated in the ad.... Look @ the roof line, windshield, doors etc... This is NOT a Alpine 11O... Speedman
