Two ways to look at it..they were sounding like crooks the moment they told him "you'll never find it".....

OTOH, it's entirely possible the "baseball player" story has a grain of truth and some hapless Astro is gonna get an unpleasant surprise, if stopped..

I'll try to get word to the Astros organization and maybe head that off at the pass...............

Again I'd get the info VIN to HPD and get the net as wide as possible, as soon as possible....

    I'm heading out now.....ttyl!

    UPDATE

I just got a call from a local in the area. The car WAS SPOTTED at about 1pm Texas time......driven by a black male.......heading into Houston....

So we know it is still out there.......

The bad thing is this poor guy probably put cash down, when he gets stopped and the car gets jerked.......he will not be happy.

If I am real lucky he is a cack Dealer that will hunt JOHN down and return the favor, with am AK47!!!!!!!

    Can only hope.......

I would think these guys would have to go home some time. What the hell could they possibly say to the police? If they sold it and did wire you your money they would have at least sent you an email with the wire info. I still can't believe someone would actually think this is no big deal and are playing this game. That police officer yesterday should have siezed the vehicle right then. Why would they take the word of some scum that obviously was up to something in the first place. At least he could have taken all the keys you sent and made sure the car wasn't going anywhere.

    Unbelieveable

For what its worth my best Friend, Devin, had his car stolen in the Seattle area eventually got it back after a police chase and now has it at SEMA as one of the cars featured in the Chrysler booth. When I get a chance, I'll go look up the link to the video he sent me.

    OH, here it is

Good luck on getting your case settled. at this point I'd keep the car just to keep the story!

Um, off season guys. Lots of players don't live where they play. For example what member of the Tigers would choose to live in Detroit?

Hope they catch them all Roy.

Oh, I know Roy. I've heard about you losing money in deals just to make customers happy. That's one of the reasons that I respect you as a dealer so much...you keep the customer as your #1 priority.

I was making more of an observation about the whole incident that hadn't been discussed yet. The whole deal really sucks for you and I hope you're able to come out of it without a financial loss.

When the police searched the "stealership" today, did they notice other inventory sitting around? I wonder if they were getting ready to close up shop and head out of town or if the guy really thinks he can play around with your car for a while until he gets another buyer?

I would alert the police in houston as well. NOt a bad idea to check the clubs and hot spots there, either.

    Roy,

I am elated for you, man. Great job, Daniel. Member like you makes me proud to be a part of this community.

Hopefully, they treat it with white gloves and it isn't damaged during transit.....so now what? Are you gonna bring it back to the PNW or take it elsewhere? :)
