All these people trundling around in LHD "never register-able in a million years" cars are going to attract the wrong sort of attention at some point. I think AB drives his F40 around Kew several times a week?
Well, sir.. a phone call to the cops first, and then a $38 daily temp rego after consultation with Vic roads, and all is fine... It just did some sound recordings on the dyno for the computer game stuff... but the car found itself taking a detour on the way back... for testing purposes.
Well... as it happens, car didn't get stopped or anything.. just turned heads... fully stickered up etc! It was on the wet tyres too... so it looked kinda legal... if you squinted.
What number Q plate did you get Q? Was cut off by a e60 545i today with some massive wheels, # plate "Q Glass" - Relative of yours? Also saw Q76 on an N14 pulsar a few days ago. This was on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Q-NUMBER-PLATE_W0QQitemZ140057702319QQihZ004QQcategoryZ421QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem But i only saw it with 19mins to go, i wasnt sure if it was ownership of that actual Q plate or just something this guy had in his garage, could of been my first Q plate..dammnit!
I bought 70 Q glass .....dont see him these days 76 on a Pulsar ! ! I saw that ebay list, my guess is you were just buying the plate. Interestingly, back in the 50's, you were given the plate, and had to fix the timber numbers to the plate yourself
Wow Q70!! Nice! Thats some cool info about the plates, do you have any more info on Heritage plates? theres nothing on the web at all, just for sale stuff.
70 will keep 50 and 100 company.... I have the original Qplate catalogue from the plate auction Russ Hinze held in 1985 Currently in the middle of assembling sale prices for Qplates over the last few years.
that would be too "pane"ful ......... oh god you're right, I'm imposing a ban on myself , two days in the bin for me
