sorry if its a repost but I did a search and found nothing... check out these pics... http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/9706/fxx9zn.jpg
I'm not sure on the s/n, but the picture was taken outside of Don Wallace's home in Florida. And yes..I'll update the registry later today..promise!
yeah, those great things...ok, so funny story... when i was at the F-car challenge in Lime Rock Park, CT, Ben Caiola had just driven his Zonda out of the track grounds. Not knowing much about the Zonda at the time, I was curious, so i went to one of the pit crew guys and asked him if the car was street legal. He said no...and then I heard the loudest roar coming from the highway. i started laughing...
Be Careful! Publishing locations and addreses of people's houses can get you into a lot of trouble. Members privacy should never be compromised, and their personal info not published here. I would suggest that you not do that again.
Man, calm down. In this day and age, it's too easy to get anyones info. Simply posting a picture of his house is no biggie. Especially considering the guy runs a large company, it's not hard info to come across.
Understood, but his house is shown on Google Maps, complete with an address, which is no one's business. I'm not freakin out, I'm just trying to protect a right to privacy. I'm sure there are famous people who don't care, but I'm also sure average citizens wouldn't want their private details known, especially if they own expensive property, ie Cars, jewellery, guns.....I own a considerable amount of toys and property as so, hell I would never want strangers to know what I have or where I live!
If I had a FXX it would be street driven every now and again. Hell Id drive a ex F1 car to get a pizza in if I had enough money. Theres some crazy cars on the street now adays.
I once ssaw a picture from a guy who claimed he was walking down the street and spotted an F1 car!! I t was a crappy cell phone pic but still thats amazing. It was on Jabbasworld.net if anyone cares
I considered that, but his collection and house are no secret. He's done interviews with magazines and newspapers about his house and how people have actually driven up and knocked on the door early Sunday morning to ask for a tour. The construction of his house was actually controversial and newsworthy, as he knocked down an historically protected home in order to build it. He also leaves his Enzo, FXX, and other Ferraris parked out in his driveway on a road that thousands of people drive down every day, even though he has a secure warehouse downtown that he stores them in. He's well known in the area and takes his cars to all the local shows and does actually use them on the streets, so I figured it was no big deal. If a mod thinks it's inappropriate, feel free to remove the link. -R
No problem, I didn't know he was that well known of. I love to see other owner's home's and garages, if it was published with their consideration. Maybe we need an "F-chat cribs" section!
No biggie, I admit it is a bit weird posting stuff like that, but this is what we get in the internet era... As for the F-chat cribs section, see: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=126622 and http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=114870 -R
Now HDF do you do THAT!?! A non-streetable car with dealer plates makes it streetable? In any case there's no way I'd be able to drive that on the street. To loud for me even in a dealership. --RS
was at the festival of speed in St. Petersburg last year.Don Wallace had his McLaren there to along with a hot blond. She let me in the forbidden circle where most spectators couldn't go and i got the shot of the FXX shown here. There were some heavy hitters on hand. Most of the cars in the circle were owned by Gerd Petrick or Don Wallace. They have South Fla. on lock down as far as the super car collections go. Also can anyone see the number of the FXX? Is that McLaren a 3 seater or two seater, I know the original is a 3 but I don't see a third seat in this one.
