    Hi Guys,

Does anyone know where I can obtain a replacement targa top and boot (trunck) zip cover for my 1986 328 GTS.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated,

    Regards

You're only going to find targa tops USED -- and prepare for sticker shock! Try T.Rutlands in the Atlanta area (also known as Maranello Auto Parts).

Zippered luggage area covers can be found at www.ferraripartsexchange.com/interior.htm for $249 but I suggest you first check with Daniel at www.RicambiAmerica.com -- if he has them or can get them, his price and service will be better.

Regarding the targa tops, Ferrari U.K. seems to have some new (may be repros) p/n 61128700 selling for $3500 USD but I'm not sure those even come with the clamp fittings or locating pins.

There's a guy that advertises in Hemmings selling 308-328 zippered trunk covers and spare tire covers. He states :"all work handcrafted by me personally since 1976." He lists the price of $185.00 for smooth or $195.00 for the early long grain.
I called him last week to order one for my car and am waiting for a call back telling me it's ready. (He seeemed like a nice guy.)
His name is Richard Ward and his number is 818-996-0886. I have no affiliation with him or his products. Just trying to help out...

By the way, I have an extra targa top for my '84 308 that I won't be useing. But at this point don't really know how much I want for it. Based on Ferrari prices, when they were available, I think I could retire on what it's worth! Just kidding, I'm already retired! Let me know if there's any interest out there for it.

By some detective work I've just realised you are in the UK

For the zip boot cover call Claire at Kent High Performance Cars - she can make you one easily

Out of interest why do you want a new roof - they are rare as hen's teeth - again if its just the cover ask Claire although it is possible Ferrari UK Parts (sponsor here) may still stock new ones

I thought I had filled in my profile, have now completed.

The reason for the Targa top is I want one colour coded in Rosso to match the rest of the car.

    Thanks for the info.

    Regards

    Ash

When my next door neighbor crashed (totalled) his 308QV, I got his targa (and some other parts) before it went to salvage. I had it smoothed and painted, still keeping my original one. I also had his quarter louvers cut and finished to complete the GTS/B look.
