...or know of one that might be for sale? I'm trying to find one in the greater BA so I don't have to bring it back from the east coast or something.

Basically looking for an alu enclosed trailer, bumper pull, 24-30ish feet in length, preferably with low-clearance ramps and some toys built in already.

    Dan,

Once you buy the trailer, you will then need to buy a truck with the power to pull the trailer. The dollars keep rollen out of your pocket.

I have a 26' enclosed trailer. It's plenty for hauling my cars.

    Good luck!

    Mike

Brandon Lawrence is selling an enclosed trailer, but I think it's rather heavy. You'll need that Chevy for sure.

At the I680 & 4 interchange (Pleasant Hill/Pacheco area) on the North West corner there is a trailer manufacturer. I do not know their business name, but i'd bet they would have something for you or could make something for you at a reasonable price.

They have a considerable number of trailers on display.

I think they advertise in AutoTrader, etc.. I have seen the ad there.

Mike - I know. I went to go look at new tow rigs today. Landcruiser isn't gonna cut it. Trying to get away with a closed deal truck.

Tom: check your email, it's basically suburban vs armada. I don't want an open-bed truck. Subby does 8200, armada is 9100. Details about both in the email. I'll call Brandon to see what he's got.

I found this: http://download.yousendit.com/3592994E28CD5D79 - 33ft (28' of floor space), ac and dc, air conditioning, electric awning, halogen lighting inside and out, alu cabinets, etc. All I need to do is add a winch, fridge and fuel tank. All for 13k! ;)

I paid around $6m for a new Interstate enclosed trailer.

Plan on buying a diesel truck. It's the only way to pull!

Sold my H2 Hummer which had the engine pumped a bit (was worthless for pulling), picked up a 2006 GMC Duramax diesel. Fnnn truck hauls ass!! The truck comes in handy to pull the big Fountain boat as well.

I borrowed a pace triple axle a few times from local Ferrari enthusiast and pulled it with my Suburban. PM me so I can give you more details, I am sure he will let you borrow it. But pulling it with a Suburban even with load balancing tongue is still a challenge. If you want something permanent you should consider a bigger diesel truck.

    Dude,

Of course I'm alive...I just haven't gotten any speeding tickets lately!

After we talked and you mentioned your choices for the truck I think you should also consider Ford Excursion with a diesel engine. You would be impressed with its pulling capacity and stability ob the road. If you can find one with a 7.3L it is a fantasic (MM of miles) and most reliable engine you can find. If you find one with 6.0L diesel you should avoid the 2003 (if they made them in that truck then).

It was good chatting with you.

    Cheers,

I saw a really nice enclosed trailer on Tuesday out here in Manteca for sale. It was in the driveway with the For Sale sign on it. Approx. 25'+. If you want, I can get you some pics Saturday or Sunday and get the info for you. LMK!
