I know this has been answered, but I'm responding again anyway. I'm not sure that MW was harder than Carbon, or because Carbon was made with the same engine as MW and therefore the learning curve wasn't needed, but I put in a lot more hours on MW. I glided through Carbon. I liked it, but it was easy to me. Also, as a side note, I'm currently playing (and have just finished the storyline) Canis Canem Edit. Good fun game, a little easy, but it will help tide me over until GTA4 this time next year....
Same here, but i think MW probably still had a little more gameplay in it, where Carbon didnt seem to have that many races and challenges IMO. MW was much better than Carbon
I wasn't really interested in the XBox 360 thing until a friend sent me this video of him playing PGR3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v714JNCtrFg Now I really really want one We also got a bit keen on the whole GT4 thing a while back: http://bricktop.smacktards.org/Mike/OCAU/Nurburgring24.xls I didn't get much sleep
The only flight simulators i played for awhile was Microsoft combat flight sim & war-birds.. which was a cool game with old ww2 aircraft All the GTA series were good, and while San Andreas had alot more than vice city, i still preferred VC for some reason. Dont think i can be bothered with NFS carbon..
hey, has anyone here got a Wii yet? i'm thinking of getting one before an xbox360 because it will involve the gf because it's physical not mental.... been reading lots of stuff and even though it's only early days now with stupid early release games, most people are blown away and consider it a whole different level of gaming...... i want to try and convince the gf to buy one tomorrow, she's gonna owe me because she said she'd be out till like 9pm tonight but it's 1am and she's still not home.......... if i charge her at my standard rate well there's a Wii
as mentioned earlier... what is it about VC that was so good? i can't think of a tangible thing that was better from GTA3 and yet wasn't improved upon by San Andreas.... hmm, it's kinda like Star Wars (geek alert!!!!!!!!! ) for me, of course i love the original (yeah yeah ep IV ) but my fave will always be Empire Strikes Back. ROTJ was great too, actually that's one of the first films i ever saw at the cinema, 1983 or so i think i was 7. i just remember having to walk around the botanic gardens for hours afterwards pretending to be interested in stupid plants.
so i guess your not doing the good bf thing & picking her up - being drunk & all i just picked up my wife from town, that's when i saw the spider
Got an Xbox360 last week! I'm hooked!!! The graphics in PGR3 are amazing, I love doing the cone challenges in the 355 because it feels like it is paced perfectly, an Enzo is just too quick!!! Wish I could upload a video of my slalom somehow, it looks awesome on the replay when you see the back wheels lock up from a touch of the E-brake. Also playing Gears of War, which is awesome Coop as well. Brilliant game, graphics are amazing and it feels surprisingly fresh. Some moments remind me of the movie Predator and other parts are a bit like Half Life 2, but it feels different and new somehow.
Yeah Ash, got the Wii on the release day on the 7th December (midnight launch). Where do you think i have been????? Good luck finding one as the original shipment of 30,000 is gone and the pre-orders for the 2nd batch on the 17th or the 22nd? (can't remember) are going quick also..... Wii Sports is great fun for having a few mates over and getting on the brews, had Red Steel (FPS) but i'm not an FPS fan so bailed on that and got GT Pro Series...... kind of the same as Auto Modelista on PS2, and the menu and challenges (licences etc) are all Gran Turismo..... I Love the thing, mainly cos the missus who isn't a gaming person gets in and plays Tennis, bowling, golf etc....... so she doesn't yell at me as much when i'm gaming now
I saw a little kid playing a boxing game today on the Wii in a game shop up town today. Looked like cool fun. Although I would have been puffed after 1min of throwing punches. That little guy was throwing them like crazy. I am a retired street fighter these days anyways.
Frank still here. Still working underground. Vern left many many moons ago. Saw a great old book about the history of Mount Isa Rugby Leauge. It showed many pics of Vern and Frank in their heyday. Vern was a AWESOME player according to the guys who played with him. Could have been an NRL legend they reckon, but the piss and partying got the better of him in the end. Always does. Haha!! Looks like fun. I would be too busy thinking I am Mike Tyson and try to hammer the other boxer to death. In turn, I would hurt myself violently throwing air punches.
