    He was killed the same year I was born 1980. 26 yrs is a long time. Nice to see people still love him. Im sure people will continue to leave flowers there for another 26 yrs and beyond. :)

    John was cremated, not sure what happened to his ashes. The memorial lies in central park on the West side by the "Dakota" where he lived. It's by the 72nd St enterence to the Park in a place called "Strawberry Fields", the path is being renovated but you can still see the "Imagine" mosaic.

    Here is the fateful spot he was killed...

    When I lived in Montreal, I used to work at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel, which is where he had his "bed-in" with Yoko. Just standing in the suite gave me chills.

    I just changed the radio station I was listening to at work........after 7-8 straight John Lennon songs...........enough is enough.

    I'm a big old Beatles fan; John was my least fave of the group but his death was a horrible tragedy. I certainly remember where I was, just like with Kennedy and 9-11-01.
