Awesome pics!!! Great choice in color!! The best picture is the first one, where it almost looks like a 355!!
While you were taking the pics.....who was driving your car making it look good then Doo do do doo ling dooo do!!!
On the track in the rain in the UK in December?! You're my hero, u crazy Ferrari driving fool! Love those 355 wheels too. Can u recap your suspension mods and wheel fitment issues. I forgot, did they just mount right up without spacers? Also, what did u do for brakes - are they just painted or upgraded? Thanks, Vince
Only suspension mods so far are the wheel spacers. They are 25mm rears and 15mm fronts, although I take the fronts off when on a track as the wheels tend to damage the wheel arches. Brakes are standard and the calipers painted yellow. Got stiffer springs (20% stiffer) in my garage which i'll be putting on next month. Considering 355mm 6 pot AP racing brakes, but to be honest, I think they'll be over kill. The existing brakes work fine for me and I'm not a late brake'r. I might get a drivers sport seat instead. Only problem I had today was the cooling system...again!!! Noticed lots of steam coming out, but the engine temp was fine. Then all of a sudden the temp needle went way over to the right. Turned out it was a loose jubilee clip. Managed to lose 1.5 litres of coolant. New rad system will be going in next month finally!!! Mine was the only ferrari there. Guess the 355/360 boys did'nt want to get their hair wet. Doing an airfiled day next friday as well. REally hope it rains heavy as it's boring in the dry.
Wow! Pic #5 looks as though you are cornering hard enough, in the WET, to lift the right rear tire. Good on ya for having a great time without sliding into an OTE! (Off Track Excursion
Thanks! Go smoke 'em at the next one! Dare we accuse the 355/360 boys of being just a bit prissy with their cars? *dives behind the NSX again*
Angelis, That looks like sooo much fun. I haven't been to a track yet, but am planning on doing it in the summer. After seeing your post, it doesn't matter rain or shine to me. I have brand new michelin PS2's, haven't pushed them in the rain yet. What were you using? it sure looks like some hard cornering.
Got Pirelli Pzero's on mine. Although the fronts are a bit old and hard. Have to say that the elise's were a lot faster in the bends and chuckable. By the way, do I get the "Best thread title for December" award.
How about Ferrari owner of the month? Angelis is certainly no mere poseur! He's a real driver!!!!!!!!! He makes me proud!
Good job getting your car to the track.....rain/shine. As the track events coordinator for the Desert Region of the FCA, I have to bribe these guys with food and hookers to get them to 'maybe' show up.............. to watch! Its really pathetic. Great pics and great car!
Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm doing an airfield day as well next friday. I'm going to mount a camera to the side of the car this time and hopfeully it'll stay on. I'll post it up if it works. Few more pics from yesterday. PS.
